Down Throw chain grab

Yep. Think DeDeDe. I was screwing around with his Fthrow combo, and hit down by accident, and its history from there. So far I've tested it against Squirtle, Ivysaur, Ike and Bowser (everyone who's shown up through random). I'm about to go play again, and gonna keep testing it. If it does indeed continue to work, this will open up a while new game for DK.

Toodles.

Okay, did more testing. The only people who could escape were Ike (at 0%) and Donkey Kong (landed too far away). Still haven't tested against everyone, but its looking good.

Congratulations on posting a one-word response that is not only offensive, but it doesn't give any insight as to who is "********" and does not help the thread at all. I see how you got as many posts as you did.

On Topic: I've been using the D-Throw chain-grab since my Dedede-maining friend used it. I didn't even know Ike could get out of it, tbh. Do you know what %s it's applicable to, and who can get out of it at what %?

It's not applicable, anyone can jump out of it, jab combo DK, spot dodge, or roll away.

Are you talking about Dedede's infinite (where he grabs them before they really bounce), or his side chain grab? If it's the latter and you're catching them after the initial bounce then yeah, I don't think this is applicable. If there's some way to frame-catch them like Dedede, though...? Can someone double check?

however, people who don't know about it will get caught once or twice and eventually you can start predicting their rolls. Basically if they roll away you can either forward b or dash attack, if they spot dodge you can down b and if they roll back torwards you you charge up a smash. It works, trust me, tried and tested against the best in NY. If they tend to jump out you can space yourself properly to get an ftilt when they land and such. Just my two cents

Dtoss, ftilt combo's often
I personally enjoy Dtoss, charge Fsmash, if they Attack, tech, or roll forward than you've just nailed a fully charged Fsmash. MMMMMM

it's not a true chain grab as it's easily escapable. useful in a mixup though, alternating btwn dthrow -> ftilt combos, dthrow -> fsmash feints. imo it's only useful as a feint/mixup. it fails immediately after any char hits 40 % as they bounce too far, and against people who don't know any better you have just done about 3-4 dthrows for about 20-25% damage, that's less damage than two connected dtilts.... useful, but there are better options .....
