Smash Rookie
Hello fellow smashers. I would like to introduce myself to these forums before I jump into discussions about playing competitive smash 4.
I am seventeen years of age, and I (along with my brothers) have been fans of smash since after the release of brawl in late 2008. But it wasn't until we played Project M and Balanced Brawl before the release of Smash 4 did we become engaged in the competitive style of smash.
In recent months I've only play Smash for Wii U (usual 3 Player FFA with my brothers), but I also have Smash for 3DS, Project M 2.5, and Melee.

So why Marth? Because for me, his moveset has a great balance between maneuverability, reach, and attack power while his tipping and zone-game creates a fighting style that rewards finesse and patience, which clicks well with my personality; So he's the character I have the most fun playing well with, which disheartens me to hear the consensus here that his nurfed status compared to brawl makes him hardly viable by himself on a regional-tournament level in smash 4.
But ZSS is in the spot as well because under the scenario that the fate of the world depends on me winning a smash 4 set with little time to prepare, I would go with ZSS because of her combo potential and extreme maneuverability.
And I am considering the recent DLC characters Corrin and Bayonetta because I see them as parallels in character archetype to Marth and ZSS, so I have similar incentives to play them.
What do I do outside of smash? While I have interest in games and game design, I also have interest in playing music and learning about writing and philosophy, So cheers to wisdom and the journey of questioning just what exactly counts as wisdom anyway.
