Enter Door In World - Now In Black Room???

Hi,
I am playing the level after the mini boss with the snake at the start of the game (9%) and when i go through the level i get to this door and it takes me to a room that has nothing but darkness inside there. Is there something i need to do to get passed that point?

If I remember correctly, go to the left and do a jump standard or a smash attack to find a switch to light the place.

Jump up and do a uair and you should hit a box that will shed some light on the area.
