We all know about Nintendo's new big thing Wiiware. But what we don't know may impact our Brawl life completely (exageration). I have done some digging and found a rumor being spread that Nintendo may release updates for Brawl, accessable for a small fee on Wiiware. But is it just a myth?

These upgrades may include:

*more items like Links spinner or a shuriken (throwing stars for idiots)
*more stage peices and stage peice options i.e. full piece rotation and speed for moving platforms
*more characters...I would love to see Mega Man or Shadow or a Boo maybe who knows
*more challenges
*more online options i.e. multiplayer 'with anyone' matchs
*more songs
*and many more

It was mentioned that each one would be sold seperatly forcing you to pay more (I know...**** them) but its way worth it. Now it said this could happen by 2010 if indeed it is real...and i sure hope so...:]

However, Sakurai said he wouldn't just create another game to use up these characters. "There are 39 characters in the game this time around and just adding a few more wouldn't be enough to justify a new game in my opinion; I'd have to draw a line in the sand and have a new approach to make it worthwhile. As long as the fans enjoy it, though, that's what matters and in the distant future, I guess that might be something I have to consider."
Maybe.

Probably not.

Could you please get something to back this up? You know...like Nintendo actually hinting at or saying this?

It's a rumor, I honestly can't believe that.

Sorry, but I really feel the need to point this out.

Did you mean shuriken?

Even if you had spelled it right, you shouldn't call others, who simply don't know, idiots. This only highlights the irony even more.

I've seen you... (znintendotaku) Otaku indeed. Total lack of respect and maturity. It's people like you who make this Forum annoying.

And don't try and rebuke what Megavitamins says with some snobby and unnecessarily immature comment. You just make yourself look more idiotic, if that's possible.

Yes asshat.

I've not only been to Japan and called an Otaku, I have lived with a Japanese roommate who jokingly called me an Otaku, all of this long after I knew the meaning.

A Japanese slang word for an American who comes to Japan to seek out Anime books, characters, toys, video games, etc.

Shut your mouth next time, it'll get you in less trouble, I promise.

Partially true... Hah.

A slang word does not "literally translate"

It has a direct correlation to those who, not obsess, but greatly appreciate Japanese Anime.

You've lost this one, stop digging yourself deeper.

I've seen things like this and all of it comes down to one fact: An interview (or two) with Sakurai revealed that he wasn't going to release DLC...idk..but I'm leaning towards fiction...hopefully it's true..

Actually; here in the US "Otaku" is closely associated with Anime since it's a Japanese word and Anime is Japanese. Unfortunately for your argument and fortunately for Z's position "Otaku's" meaning (aside from meaning house) is geek/fanboy/nerd etc generally with an obsessive nature not limited to but including those in to Anime.
Some common Otaku types:
Computer Otaku
Idol Otaku
Video Game Otaku
and on and on...
Geek and obsessive infatuation are critical to the use of the term "Otaku."

Sorry, but it looks like you lose this one. Please refrain from digging yourself deeper.

Also, I just noticed that you said "a slang word does not literally translate"
That's just a silly statement. Any word can have a literal translation. For instance: "Kira" is a slang word taken from the American "killer" and it literally means "killer."
