Little less than a week ago I entered a brawl tournament, I came in third place with Bowser. I was doing pretty well, despite being nervous, and in a sense I got revenge. My previous tournament I choked(melee, years ago), got mocked because I was a girl, you know the deal.

This tournament I whipped some ***, made some enemies( and friends, but mostly enemies), and was able to take the trash talk, so good improvement.

Things went well until I saw this insane Falco three stock someone, at that point I knew i was going to have trouble, and indeed I did.

He basically would chain grab me and spike me off the stage. I saw in a Bowser vs Falco video there is a way to get out of it, but how?

This guy was simply insane, doing all sorts of ATs left and right, and poor me, I couldn't compare, but hopefully, in approximately one month I would be ready. So if anyone has any tips( and perhaps links to certain ATs Bowser can do? I know there were some, but I can't find them!) and what not that can help me as I go about trying to learn Bowser, and Brawl, in and out!

My freind plays a mean bowser and i've seen DJ nintendo play who is also nutz. So from watching them play all i can tell you is that if you are chain grabbed off the ledge DI away from the ledge just enough where you're out of the reach of the incoming spike.

Maybe later on today when everyone wakes up and can call my bowser buddy and ask him.

~Good luck.

Pst what kinda guy mocks a girl for playing a video game... stupid kids.

DI away fro the ledge huh? That little bit of advice helps immensely! That's how he took off a good sum of my lives by spiking me off the edge and keeping me on the defensive. :psycho:

Oh please do call your friend and ask him! I would greatly appreciate it!

And yes, it mainly the immature little boys that mock girls, or guys who are stuck with a 1920s mindset. Sad, huh?

Yeah, also the chaingrab becomes ineffective after 40-50ish % so once u survive past this point it wont work so well on you.

Also you should know most of bowsers tricks to relieve from pressure from a falco beating on your shield. By hitting up-B while holding the shield button allows you to do his recovery on the floor from the shield. This move is fast... and has really nice priority.

Dealing with lasers is a little trickier, you either try to get past with timed infinite jumps or by slowly creeping up by walking and shielding. From what i've seen most bowsers perfer to stay out of the air vs falco.

Bowser's jabs and F tilt are a good way to keep falco out of grabing range they're fast and have some decent power to them. I'm not completely sure of what your level of play is and how much you know about your character so i'm just throwing out random crap that could help.

Best of luck.

Becuase he lives in New York like me? And i see him at tourneys once in a blue moon? DJn doesn't know me cus i don't talk to him. He was at the game table tourney last saturday from what i heard playing doubles. I got there late to watch due to work.

So i don't know DJN but i've seen him.

Oh and right, i don't play bowser i just watch people who do. So if someone comes along and goes " FreakingMethodiC is a *******" they might know more or better ways to do something then i do.

If you have him damaged to..... I forget the percent but you can DI down and away before the spike and fair him into a stage spike. That's assuming he follows you slightly. Your timing has to be **** near perfect though.
