No worries :p

Can't wait 'till Thursday though.

Sorry I didn't play more yesterday. It was Warmachine night...

The dude I ended up playing was a total douche too.....He was even cheating and stuff.

I should have just played Brawl :p

Why's that a problem? It's not like the game has an extreme amount of depth to get "good" yet.

@Bowyer, Vayseth has requested no chat of MM's in here cause they are illegal and all.

Next you'll be telling us that Vayseth said that in the store, and actually meant this thread when he was saying that, because this thread = the store.

Keep MMs under wraps guys. It's technically illegal to do it in a public establishment. If you wanna do it, make sure I or the owner don't know and if it gets outta hand, I'll stop it. It's gambling, illegal, and I kno you guys have fun with it, but don't get too carried away (not like you would, just a warning).
*cough*

And saying it on his thread is kinda letting him know about it but meh, not my problem.

Edit: lol, I'm sorry but weeny made me lol even if it was directed at me.

Okiyama should be a moderator, he's so good at the whole "talking for someone else" and "being an authority in someone else's thread" thing. He's almost as good as Fdv!

Why the sad face Bowyer?
Cause I would rather that my plans didn't change. Obv.

*cough*

Okyama, there is a big difference between saying we are going to do one sometime and being at GYGO and going "hey, lets mm, everyone watch." Anyways, you really need to stop being a little ****ing weeny, because indeed, its not your problem. Don't make me start to flame you like I flamed Thax. And anyways, were not going to play for money, so its not a real mm.

Alex, you better be practicing. Your Pikachu's mine come Thursday.

Hey guys, it's okay, I can't read =D

But srsly, I don't care if you do it, it's just mega shady and I hate the idea of playing for money. I'd rather no one do it but hey, some people get off on it.

@Bowyer: It's been a while since we played XD I play Pika, sure, but I'm working on Poke Trainer, Toon Link, and Lucario a lot too and they seem to be more fun than Pika =( But yeah d00d, I'll take the ninja turtle v electric rat match XD

Ah, I've been waiting to get my hands on Wind Waker Link... and the random stage selection switch thingy too :) And a poke trainer ditto would be sweet too.

Argh the shine spike only bothers me cause if I had used the darn bike rather than up B I would have survived but Melee instincts kick in and I mash Up B.

>.>
Yay for Brawl being competitive BTW :)

Meh, I'd say as long as camping isn't very effective looks like Brawl has a good chance of being competitive.

But since it's so much slower it probably won't be as competitive as Melee. We'll see though.

As long as camping isn't effective? Every single one of you that I played on Monday either played campy or ran away a lot.

Odd, I didn't notice that people were camping all that much(on Monday, the FFA's were camp fests). But I played Aaron a lot and he isn't a nub :p

It's not that effective you didn't lose more than a couple matches right?

I don't even remember any FFAs happening on Monday. The fact of the matter is, the game is slow, and safe approaches haven't been found yet. If safe approaches continue to not be found, then the game cannot be competitive because camping will be the only way to play.

Oki, you guys were camping like there's no tomorrow. Especially lima. In fact, the camping game's gotten way better. But rather than pull evidence in my favor and support my claim, I'll just say it's true, and watch everyone believe me because it is true.

without l-cancelling, we must find new approaches. so in the game's infancy, at least, it seems camping is (more) beneficial. hopefully it will become less and less so.

Camping in Melee is beneficial, but still decently punishable. If 1v1 setups go the same way tomorrow that they did on Monday, I'll be losing games trying to figure out anything I can since I'll play the same number of games whether I win or lose.

not if i come. :colorful:

i'm gonna suck so bad cause everyone got a head start on me though haha. T_T

btw turning random "neutral" stages on is kinda stupid. it's new, it's fun, we don't know much about it yet, it's brawl. we should turn all stages on. and smash balls.

but that's just me.

btw everyone quit being a douche to okiyama. :ohwell:

Oh, we'll see...We'll see.

As for the approaches, I know if you land a low-lag aerial behind them (like fox's drill) they can't shield grab, or punish at all I think.

At least, that's been working for me so far. Just watch out for shield grabs.

**** ****ing ****ing **** **** **** NOOOOO YOU STUPID ****. We did that the first day. It was gay as hell. So many stages piss you off because off stupid random **** hitting you out of no where and killing you when you were way ahead. Its so stupid and frustrating and you are a Nazi for suggesting such things... lol, item hippie nazi, lol. back to the point... Smash balls are also gay as hell because its generally a ****ing free kill on everyone and with brawl having less lives, it sucks to get cheap shotted and all of a sudden you lose cause the game is a ****ing idiot for even creating such piece of **** bull**** stupid **** ******* items!

lol, are you trying to oki flamed?

Maybe. I haven't tested this, but you can put away your shield extremely fast in brawl so even if you land behind someone, they might be able to put their shield away and down smash you or something.

I don't think anyone has tried to do it to you yet :p. In melee there is no way in hell you could do that, so people naturally wouldn't try it in brawl unless they learned from somewhere that shields go down **** fast.

Now now guys, don't get so worked up =P

Lain I run it this way because if people are going to get only one or two chances to play per hour (depending on the number of people) I want to make sure they have a good chance to play and not have to worry about stage knockouts or items ruining their experience with the game. If you want that stuff, get the game in two weeks. I played with crap on at first (even before GYGO) and it was the worst time of my life. Now that I actually kno how to play, they MIGHT be fun, but I'mma still think no XD
