A roster for Marvel vs Capcom that's as cynical as possible.

I took the top 30 best selling Capcom games and Marvel movies, and took a character who appears from one of them. I think the Marvel side isn't too bad but god the Capcom one gets weird.

Wherever good books are sold.
What if Smash never had third-parties?
IIRC this has been done in the past, but I'm gonna put a twist on it and have the replacement 1Ps match their 3P equivalents in terms of tone or some sort of similarity - Some being more successful than others. Fan demand isn't an entire non-factor, but it wasn't highly emphasized here. Also not gonna bother with Echoes.
  • Snake: Andy (Advance Wars) (MG and AW are based on tactical gameplay and war themes)
  • Sonic: Toad (Super Mario) (Fast platforming character. Plus, replacing Mario's console war rival with a Mario character feels fitting)
  • Mega Man: Chibi-Robo (Platforming robots who struggled around the Wii U/3DS days)
  • Pac-Man: Donkey Kong Jr. (Arcade-era character whose home series defined their company)
  • Ryu: Karate Joe (Rhythm Heaven) (karate guys)
  • Cloud: Isaac (Golden Sun) (highly requested RPG IP)
  • Bayonetta: Wonder Red (Wonderful 101) (Hack-and-slash games with the same devs)
  • Simon: Captain Rainbow (honestly i got nothin for this one. uhhhh his yo-yo's kinda like a whip???)
  • Joker: Akira Howard (Astral Chain) (newer games)
  • Hero: Takamaru (Mysterious Murasame Castle) (NES-era swordsmen)
  • Banjo & Kazooie: Dixie Kong
  • Terry: Knuckle Joe (Kirby) (Melee fighters whose series had an influence on Smash's design)
  • Steve: Tom Nook (Animal Crossing) (Games about building/creativity)
  • Sephiroth: Hades (Kid Icarus) (antagonist from a franchise
  • Kazuya: Sukapon (Joy Mech Fight) (Fighting game character)
  • Sora: Waluigi (Super Mario) (Notoriously requested fighters - Honestly Geno could go in this slot too but IIRC Square Enix owns the rights to him so he is technically third-party depending on how you splice it)

About two years ago (wow, time flies), I started a creation thread for a DC vs. Marvel game. After a few tweaks, the starting roster wound up being 52 characters. Even then, and with three DLC seasons included, there were still some major characters that were left out, but having a fifty-two character starting roster (twenty-six per side) wasn't exactly realistic. Unless this was part of a series of Marvel and DC games that culminated in a crossover, and this crossover reused a lot of pre-existing models/sprites like Marvel vs. Capcom 2, it doesn't seem plausible.

I'm going to try to trim that starting roster by half, to twenty-six characters (thirteen per side) and see how that goes. (I was tempted to put my explanations in spoiler tags, though I figure at least half of them are self-explanatory)

This was tough for both the Marvel and DC sides, though with Marvel, I could pick thirteen characters that felt like they needed to be in here pretty quickly. (Spider-Man and Wolverine were obvious, Thanos is the main villain of the game along with Darkseid, Doctor Doom and Magneto are Marvel's biggest villains by far, and so on) While typing this up, I debated between including Zatanna, Martian Manhunter, Deathstroke, Black Canary, and Green Arrow for the last DC spot, and that was just characters from the base roster; the lack of magic users on either side convinced me to go with Zatanna.

I was debating between Ultimate Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel for a more modern Marvel character, though I ultimately went with Kamala instead of Miles. I'm a bit disappointed that I couldn't fit Thor in here, given his ties to Darkseid and the rest of the New Gods.

If I'd picked from the DLC roster as well, I'd be tempted to include Squirrel Girl and Lois Lane in there, even if it was as bonus characters. (I still can't believe Lois Lane was voted in as one of the DLC characters, but it was a really well-written concept, and I liked the idea)

One Piece Fighting game roster
1724303255361.png

I feel like One Piece has such a rich and unique cast of characters that it's a waste that the series hasn't gotten the Dragon Ball FighterZ treatment. Sure there's plenty of arena fighters out there but that doesn't really count. This is my proposed dream roster for such a game.

Base game
Monkey D. Luffy
Roronoa Zoro
Nami
Usopp
Sanji
Tony Tony Chopper
Nico Robin
Franky
Brook
Jimbei
Yamato
Trafalgar D. Law
Jewelry Bonney
Sabo
Donquixote Doflamingo
Boa Hancock
Shanks
Dracule Mihawk
Buggy
Crocodile
Marshall D. Teach AKA Blackbeard
Kuzan AKA Aokiji
Borsalino AKA Kizaru
Sakazuki AKA Akainu
Koby
Rob Lucci

These are pretty much self explanatory. The only character I feel is in any way a surprise is Jewelry Bonney, and more specifically her inclusion over a certain other Worst Generation pirate who is in the first DLC pack. I prioritized story importance to a degree and Bonney has in a single arc gotten more character development and spotlight than any of the supernovas not named Luffy, Zoro or Law and her abilities could really stand out from the rest of the cast.

DLC pack 1
Portgas D. Ace
Eustass Kid
Carrot
Issho AKA Fujitora
Charlotte Katakuri

I prioritized fan favorites for this one. I honestly wanted to save Kid for a later DLC because dunking on Kid after his recent run-in with Shanks is one of the funniest things you can do but honestly there's no real point other than being mean. I felt that Ace had to be the first DLC character because you can't include him in the base roster but you also can't exclude him from the game because of how much of a fan favorite he is.

DLC pack 2
Bartholomew Kuma
Smoker
Perona
Enel
Marco

Yes, this is another pack of fan favorites. I try to diversify each lineup by having the characters have little in common with each other, down to fighting style and affiliation. Technically I do have two Logia DF users and two Paramecia DF users here but I feel like Smoker and Enel would be very different from each other in terms of fighting style and having Paramecia in common genuinely means nothing.

DLC pack 3
Gecko Moria
Nefertari D. Vivi
Bentham AKA Mr. 2 Bon Kurei
Baby 5
Kikunojo

If the two previous packs consisted of mostly fan favorites, this one is much more out there. I actually have reasons for all of these.
Gecko Moria is not really an out there pick but not exactly a fan favorite and out of the original seven warlords he's easily the one you can justify leaving out the most. Still, not that surprising.
Then Vivi, a beloved character and honorary straw hat pirate... but not exactly a fighter, so you wouldn't necessarily expect her to be included.
Bentham is the closest character to a conventional fan favorite in this lineup and yet that's balanced out by the fact that it's Bentham.
And then the last two characters. Baby 5 is easily the most out there pick in this entire roster, and yet she's a fan favorite and a member of the grand fleet with a fighting style that just screams "make me a fighting game character". I admittedly got the idea for that one from Cutie Gwen Cutie Gwen (sorry for the ping) but it was so brilliant that I couldn't pass up on it.
Then there's Kiku, a fairly popular character from Wano but not exactly that major a character. After Yamato, the denizens of Wano that make the most sense to include are either Oden or Kinemon, so why her of all characters? Well it's a combination of wanting a surprising pick, wanting more women on the roster, and her being actually the most popular of the nine scabbards, surprisingly enough. She's also my personal favorite of the that group and she could call on the others for attacks.

DLC pack 4 - The Legends
Monkey D. Garp
Kaido
Charlotte Linlin AKA Big Mom
Edward Newgate AKA Whitebeard
Imu

So I broke my "no association" rule for this one because this final pack is themed. In case you haven't noticed, I deliberately avoided adding characters from the older generation to the base roster, because like Roger and Rayleigh I believe it's time for the next generation to shine. This is one of the main themes of One Piece. But at the same time I also wanted to include these old legends of the sea as they are cool characters with different abilities. They do have some archetypal similarities toe each other as they're very big powerful characters but you know, it's the final pack and there aren't exactly that many characters like this on the roster, I can afford to do this.
The only exception to this theme is Imu - the shadowy figure who's built up as One Piece's final major antagonist. Why are they here? Well, Imu is all but confirmed to be over an 800 years old immortal, making them older than the other four legends in the pack, and also despite how little we know about the character (I deliberately avoided putting characters we know little about preemptively, this is why Dragon's not on the roster), we do actually have enough of a basis for a summon-based playstyle that includes the Gorosei.

Anyway that's the roster, I'm probably gonna update it as the story progresses and we learn more about some of the major players I excluded as well as get introduced to new characters

What if SSBU had fully original stages?
The amount of stages per series is equal to real Ultimate - Flat Zone X and Wii Fit Studio are considered Others but YI Melee is Yoshi. Any returning stage listed is a new layout, and most times a new aesthetic design. Decided to devote to the "everything and the kitchen sink" style of Ultimate's Spirits by trying to make stages suited to games that are otherwise unrepresented or unrepresentable as fighters. I did short change Mario by 3 stages (had enough) and Metroid by 1 (really hard to find stage choices for) to give Animal Crossing and Splatoon an extra stage each, and two 3P others stages (OutRun and Bubble Bobble).

  1. Mushroom Kingdom (New Super Mario Bros.)

A certain degree of boredom came over me, coupled with an inability to sleep, so I took inspiration from a recent Source Gaming video and cooked up a SEGA roster (albeit with six extra characters than they had.) General idea here is a mix of icons, reasonably modern picks, and some personal-bias weirdos. Oh, and funny thing - the columns are loosely organised, specifically into;
  • sonic team stuff
  • anime bull**** (RPGs)
  • ryu ga gotoku & friends
  • old misc.
  • new misc.
  • acquisition alleyway

Honestly, the only note I'd say here is that the roster's designed with DLC in mind, hence some omissions of fan-favourites like Alis, Tails, Gemini, Majima, and then a few other roles, like additional characters for the Shining or Fighting Vipers series, and characters who fill similar niches to others on the roster; a Streets of Rage rep to coincide with Gilius' role as "a character from a prominent arcade beat-em-up of the late 80s", and probably a Jet Set Radio rep, who'd coincide with Orta's role of representing a cult-classic Xbox title released by SEGA shortly after their exit from the console business.

I've done this many a time, but I'm gonna do it again

Split into 3 fractions: 15 from mega-franchises, 10 from the 90s, 10 from the 2000s, and 5 from misc. Nick content like 2010s, LA, and Jr. I'm making this under the assumption that the game would have a summon system, where all cut vets would be featured.

  1. SpongeBob
  2. Patrick
  3. Squidward
  4. Sandy
  5. Flying Dutchman
  6. Garfield
  7. Odie
  8. Michelangelo
  9. Donatello
  10. Rocksteady
  11. Shredder
  12. Aang
  13. Toph
  14. Iroh
  15. Korra
  16. Reptar
  17. Ren & Stimpy

I re-did the roster I made a while ago for DreamMix 2 with Hasbro characters. I mostly just did this to get a better visual but I did change a couple character choices. Specifically, I cut Shiori for Goemon due to overlap with Licca and Master Higgins for Momotaro since I felt his games were more popular in Japan.

I love seeing people's Sega rosters, sega has some really cool characters and they are honestly they best equipped for this type of crossover besides nintendo, capcom, and disney. Only note is that Shadow would definitely be in base game.

Consider me inspired! I'll try and take a crack at a more traditional DreamMix 2, though, just to keep things fresh.

Without further ado - DreamMix TV World Fighters II: Rematch on the World Stage!!

The original collaboration between Konami, Hudson, and Takara might seem like an odd lineup in theory, but in practice, it actually made pretty much perfect sense - all three companies had pretty close ties in one way or another, had a history of working together on collaborative projects, and despite the weirdness of Optimus Prime and Solid Snake being able to meet in an officially licensed setting, it felt like a lot of fun.

By around 2006? Things are a bit different. Konami's absorbed Hudson in a merger, and Takara's changed a little too - merging with Tomy to form Takara-Tomy. That being said... before that point, two important things happened. In 2003, Takara acquired Atlus - and in 2005, Tomy purchased a majority stake in Tatsunoko. With that in mind - the ultimate DreamMix rematch seems to bring in two new "companies" to the fold - but they're not entirely unprecedented, even if they look weird at a glance! Let's look at the lineup.

Konami
  • Simon Belmont (Castlevania) - Returns mostly from the previous game, with the notable change of now sporting his redesign from Castlevania Judgement... for better or worse. This just makes a lot of sense for the time period.
  • Bomberman (Bomberman) - Returns mostly unscathed as the only remaining Hudson-specific character. (I tried to justify some others, but it was difficult.)
  • Power Pro-kun (Power Pros) - Again, returns mostly in his original state.
  • Naked Snake (Metal Gear Solid) - He's had a bit of a redesign from Solid Snake and now fits his character in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Not many changes in terms of moveset, however.
  • Tako (Parodius) - A new Parodius character to replace the Moai (who was absolutely funny and perfect, but I felt it'd be good to branch out.) He takes inspiration from the gameplay of the Parodius series akin to how Moai functioned, but with his own... octopodic spin.
  • Goemon (Ganbare Goemon) - A new pick from a new series, chosen mostly because the Ganbare Goemon series has been a long-running one with plenty of appearances in Konami crossovers - and also lends well to a platform fighter, being a series of platformers.
  • Evil Rose (Rumble Roses) - Another new pick, this time functionally replacing Yugo as a "fighting game rep". Her moveset of course takes a lot of inspiration from pro wrestling, mainly through references to her playstyle and appearances in Rumble Roses. She might seem to be an unorthodox pick, but she's appeared in quite a lot of Konami crossovers, so I think she's well-suited.
  • Twinbee (Twinbee) - Again, returns mostly unscathed as a great classic Konami rep.
Takara-Tomy
  • Gingka Hayame (Beyblade) - Essentially a replacement for Tyson, acting as the protagonist of the newer Beyblade: Metal Fusion. He functions pretty similarly, though.
  • Optimus Prime (Transformers) - Again, returns mostly unscathed.
  • Acroyear A-311 (Microman) - A new Microman rep replaces Mason, this time Acroyear, a villain from the series. He maintains Mason's small size but with a more villainous demeanour.
  • Murasame Liger (Zoids) - The main Zoid featured in Zoids: Genesis, the most recent anime in the series as of this game's release - and one popular enough to make it into the Super Robot Wars series. Where can you go wrong with a giant robotic liger with a sword?
  • White Leo (Battle Beasts) - Another new character to flesh things out a little, picked to represent the Battle Beasts lineup. In Japan, it's treated as a seperate entity from the Transformers series, whereas that doesn't seem to be as much the case in Western markets.
  • Licca Kayama (Licca-chan) - Licca's a big deal over in Japan, so it'd make a lot of sense to keep her around mostly as-is.
  • Aska (Cy Girls) - Comparatively, Aska's mostly kept due to two things; moveset variety (as a ninja, she's neat to have), and that she indirectly connects Tatsunoko even closer through her representation of the Cool Girl action figure brand - which also created action figures of Jun, (a version of) Casshern, and Doronjo.
Tatsunoko Production
  • Casshern (Neo-Human Casshern) - An iconic pick from the history of Tatsunoko who'd just make way too much sense to not include.
  • Jun the Swan (Science Ninja Team Gatchaman) - While Ken might be the main face of the series, Jun's role as a fan-favourite supporting character helps her quite a lot here, to the point she was included in Tatsunoko Fight back in 2000.
  • Tekkaman (Tekkaman: The Space Knight) - Another "face" pick, but one that's justified as one of Tatsunoko's most iconic franchises. Plus, a staff-wielder would be unique amongst the roster.
  • Karas (Karas) - A more traditional tokusatsu character from the special limited series in celebration of the studio's 45th birthday, Karas is honestly a pretty interesting and cool pick who I think would work well with some of the other "darker" characters here.
  • Komugi Yoshida (Nurse Witch Komugi-chan) - A brighter modern pick amongst the bunch that I think would work well in a roster like this, Komugi's comical antics and medical theming would absolutely make her stand out in the cast.
Atlus
  • Raidou Kuzunoha (Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner) - The arguably necessary summoner of the cast, pulled from the recent Raidou Kuzunoha spinoffs. The mid-to-late 00s were a time when Atlus was seemingly experimenting with more SMT spinoffs, hence his inclusion over a more traditional SMT protag from the mainline games. Despite this, his moveset would still feature various demons in his attacks.
  • Slayn Wilder (Growlanser) - The amnesiac protagonist of Growlanser III, one of the rare games in the series to make it to Western markets. Atlus' acquisition of CareerSoft in 2001 was a decently big deal for them, and Slayn himself would work well as an archetypical pretty-boy RPG protagonist with a massive sword.
  • Serph (Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga) - Perhaps an odd pick, but the Digital Devil Saga games were particularly recent at around this time, and I think Serph would work well to fill the stance-change gap that we lost with Yugo by transmuting partially or fully into his Atma form.
I think a lineup of 23 characters is decently attainable from the previous game's 17, and while I can see some disappointment in the amount of cuts/replacements, I reckon that a lot of the picks that fill the previous characters' roles do so decently well - and the replacements show a slight switch-up in the formula overall.

Mario Mega Party

The menu is a shelf of board games where you select your mode (type of board game) to play.

Mode 1: Mario Party Classic - We got 9 boards, 4 new and 5 retro that just play like classic mario party. Get coins from mini games and blue spaces, spend them on stars, get random stars at the end of the game, most stars wins, if there's a tie for stars, most stars and coins wins. If there's a tie for stars and coins, tiebreaker minigame wins.

Mode 2: Fight Bowser Co-Op Party: ...It's Mario Party 10. If you have 2 switches, you can even do bowser mode. This isn't a 1:1 port as it'll have the improved character selection of this game... but it'll be a pretty lazy ported game beyond character select.

Mode 3: Toad and the Castle Spy: It's "Among Us". Just the maps are mushroom kingdom castles. Toads and Toadettes must see to castle defenses without knowing there are disguised magikoopa spies sabotaging the operation. Cell phones may be used as controllers for this game.
ALTERNATE MODE 3: Win as the saboteur once and you can change it to "Koopa Troopa and the castle spy" where on your screen it'll seem like Koopa Troopas are working on their castle defenses not knowing that Magitoads (It's... just Toadsworth in a different outfit) are working as saboteurs.

Mode 4: Wario's Empire: It's the board game "settlers of cataan" given a wario ware coat of paint (the resources are "retro, pizza, gold, magic, and lightning" They're represented by 9-Volt, Mona, Wario, Ashley, and Crygor.) Instead of settlements, you open "depots" You connect your depots with magic and lightning. Instead of roads you build connections, instead of cities, factories. The "Thief" is represented by Waluigi. Instead of a set turn order, Microgames (not minigames) will set turn order.

Mode 5: Peach's Strategem: Ever Play Ultimate Stratego? It was four player stratego (and the other side of the board was regular stratego). It's Stratego with a Bowser vs Peach coat of paint. In four player variants it becomes 2 vs 2 and uniting the crowns becomes a win condition). Has a few alternate "boards" with different terrain

Peach's army:
6 Bob-ombs
10 - Mario (Strongest piece)
9 - Luigi
8 - Peach and Daisy (you get 2 8s)
7 - Rosalina, Pauline, Toadsworth
6 - Yoshi (as you get four of these, change the colors. They can move two spaces instead of one.)
5 - Toads (You get 4 of these as well, so standard red, blue, yellow, and Toadette)
4 - Popplins (You get 4 again)
3 - E Gadd and Gooey copies of E Gadd (you get 5 of these,, they can defuse Bo-bombs)
2 - Sprixies (You get 8 of these... For the eighth, use Wanda. They can move as many spaces as they want in a single direction)
S/1 - Nabbit (Weakest piece, but it can take out the strongest piece of the opposing armies)
C - Crown

Bowser's army:
6 Bob-ombs
10 - Bowser
9 - Bowser Jr.
8 - Boom Boom and pom Pom
7 - Tatanga, Wart, King Boo (Option to replace one with Ma Broodal)
6 - Paratroopas (You get four, change the shell color, they go two spaces)
5 - Broodals (You get four of them, use the four broodal kids)
4 - Koopa Troopas (Change the colors for all four you get)
3 - Magikoopas (All 5 can Magically disarm bob-ombs)
2 - Lakitus (You get 8. Give them hats)
S/1 - Nabbit
C - Crown

Unlockable armies: Kongs, Kremlings, Wario

Mode 6: Yoshi's Garden - It's King Domino with Yoshi pictures. Queen Domino and other expansions will be included. Turn order will be set by minigames instead of bidding.

What if SSBU had secret unlockables?
Look at me, complaining about Smash being quantity over quality then doing this.

Anyway, these unlockables are all unique characters - not echoes or even semi-clones - who are built using another character's skeleton and certain animations (hit, stunned, e.t.c.) as a base in the same way the Smash 64 unlockables were. They are all lower-food-chain characters to fit their inability to get a trailer, but aren't 100% wacky picks like my usual rosters to stay in the spirit of Ultimate. There are 9 characters, 1 for each unlock tree (except Pikachu who gets 2, as he had an incomplete unlock tree). They are all 1P.

  1. Vaati (Zelda) - Toon Link base (Link unlock tree). Fought on Spirit Train to Molgera
  2. Ghirahim (Zelda) - Corrin base (Fox unlock tree). Fought on Skyloft to Ballad of the Goddess
  3. Machoke (Pokemon) - Incineroar base (Pikachu unlock tree #2). Fought on Pokemon Stadium 2 (Rock form) to Red/Blue Theme (Melee).
  4. Oranguru (Pokemon) - Donkey Kong base (Kirby unlock tree). Fought on Spear Pillar to Route 10
  5. Jody Summer (F-Zero) - Zero Suit Samus base (Samus unlock tree). Fought on Big Blue to Dream Chaser
  6. Kumatora (Mother 3) - Lucas base (Mario unlock tree). Fought on Hyrule Castle 64 to You Call This a Utopia?
  7. King Hippo (Punch-Out!!) - King K. Rool base (DK unlock tree). Fought on Tortimer Island to Minor Circuit (Wii).
  8. Jill (Drill Dozer) - Jigglypuff base (Pikachu unlock tree #1). Fought on Wrecking Crew to a new Drill Dozer remix
  9. Muddy Mole (Mole Mania) - Pikachu base (Yoshi unlock tree). Fought on Dream Land GB (Castle Lololo) to a new Mole Mania remix
I would've included Goomba based on Kirby if Piranha Plant weren't DLC immediately after. I imagine these 9 would be fought in batch in WOL, perhaps as gatekeepers between the Light and Dark realms

EDIT: Replaced Sami since she isn't really shaped like Snake at all, which went against the point.

After the new Capcom Fighting Collection I thought it would be cool to have a similar compilation for some of Capcom’s older console games. That’s kinda a broad topic though so here’s one for specifically handheld titles, Capcom Handheld Collection.
  1. Super Street Fighter II Turbo Revival
  2. Mega Man Powered Up
  3. Mega Man Maverick Hunter X
  4. Resident Evil Gaiden
  5. Resident Evil Deadly Silence
  6. Monster Hunter Freedom
  7. Monster Hunter Freedom 2
  8. Monster Hunter Portable 3rd

I’ve been playing a lot of the Capcom Fighting Collection games lately to prepare myself for the sequel and so I’ve decided to make a Darkstalkers 4 roster!

Most of these characters are returning from previous games but there are a few original monster characters I’m envisioning
  1. Morrigan
  2. Felicia
  3. Anakaris
  4. Bishamon
  5. Demitri
  6. Lord Raptor
  7. Jon Talbain
  8. Rikuo
  9. Sasquatch
  10. Victor
  11. Huitzil
  12. Hsien-Ko
  13. Anita
  14. B.B. Hood
  15. Q-Bee
  16. Lilith
  17. Jedah
  18. Goh
  19. Ruby Heart
  20. Original character: Gorgon
  21. Original character: Dark Priest
  22. Original boss character
- Anita is using an aged up design so she can fight on her own. I imagine she could use some of Donovan’s moves (hence him being cut) but I think she should also take some inspiration from the traditional vampire hunter image.

- Pyron is also cut, nothing against him I just feel he doesn’t fit the theme as much and is one of the characters that’s not as much of a priority. He’s got DLC written all over him.

- I’ve seen the idea of a tengu in Darkstalkers before and I had a silly idea to connect it to Goh Hibiki, the father of Dan Hibiki from Street Fighter and have him show up as a playable character because Goh was a tengu in Pocket Fighter, or at least he has a tengu mask when he shows up for some of Dan’s attacks. (I imagine this was a parody of Mr. Karate lol). Here he would mostly have Dan’s moveset to reference Street Fighter and sometimes tengus are portrayed as being ghosts so that could explain why he’s here and a tengu now.

- For my gorgon idea, was thinking of a twist on the normal Medusa concept, since many of the monsters in Darkstalkers have a fun twist on their monster concepts. So, this gorgon would be a strongman and would be shirtless, having chest and back hair that is also made up of snakes and further makes for interesting attacks (a

- The Dark Priest is a servant of some lovecraftian entity. They’re able to use spells and I imagine could have attacks where they summon cultists or even demons, again pulling some Donovan inspiration. Also since I made the gorgon a man maybe we could make the dark priest a woman, proving that girls that do it to (and by it I mean worship great old ones)

- Literally no ideas for the boss character besides the fact I want to make them more serious to contrast the other new characters. So imagine your own I guess.

DLC Pack 1:
  1. Shadow
  2. Original character: Troll
  3. Amingo
  4. Pyron
DLC Pack 2:
  1. Tessa
  2. Original character: Djinn
  3. Donovan
  4. Marionette
- Shadow and Marionette have original movesets with some elements of the attack copying they used to have.

- I considered having Amingo on the base game along with Ruby Heart (I think they were both considered to be Darkstalkers characters but I dont remember if it was just one of them) but left him out so the crossovers don’t overshadow the base roster too much. Plus, Ruby just kinda fits with the idea of a crossover better because of her MvC2 lore significance.

What if SSBU had more misc. 3P content?
This would come with
-1 stage per company
-1 AT per company
-2 items per company
-3 misc. series with a spirit (not including those that were mentioned above) (will not be listing the specific spirits)

KONAMI
Stage:
  1. Moai Zone (Gradius)
Assist Trophy:
  1. Bomberman
Items:
  1. Water Gun (Zombies Ate My Neighbors)
  2. Konami Code

Misc. spirits:
  1. Frogger
  2. Power Pros
  3. Pop'n Music

CAPCOM
Stage:
  1. Courtroom (Phoenix Wright)
Assist Trophy
  1. Rathalos
Item
  1. Yashichi
  2. CRT TV (Dead Rising)
Misc. spirits:
  1. Resident Evil
  2. Devil May Cry
  3. Darkstalkers

SEGA

  1. OutRun Bay (OutRun)

  2. Monkey Ball (Super Monkey Ball)
Spirits
  1. Jet Set Radio
  2. Yakuza
  3. Puyo Puyo

NAMCO (not counting arcade content, as much as I want a Microwave door item)
Stages
  1. Bon Dance Street (Taiko no Tatsujin)

Assist Trophy
  1. Plane (Ace Combat)

Item
  1. Soul Calibur (Soul Calibur)
  2. Katamari (Katamari Damacy)

Item
  1. Space Invaders (Space Invaders)
  2. Slime (Dragon Quest)

Spirits
  1. Chrono
  2. Mana
  3. Gex

now the DLC companies, or company - I'll be skipping SNK because, like Pac-Man, they're also composited a bit, but much wider reaching AFAIK, so at that point it's basically just "what if DLC came with ATs?". Also I know nothing about SNK

MICROSOFT
Stage
  1. My Desktop (Windows XP)
Assist
  1. Ori (Ori)
Items
  1. Context Sensitive Pad (Voodoo Vince) (technically conker's version of would be easier to telegraph as an item but nintendo-connected 3ps bad so voodoo vince it is)
  2. Fuel Rod Gun (Halo)

Spirits
  1. Fable
  2. Sea of Thieves
  3. Zoo Tycoon
I kinda want to do a Smash item list now lmao

  2. Rainbow Road (Mario Kart 8, based on N64)
  3. Bowser's Castle (Super Mario World)

  100. OutRun Bay (OutRun)
  101. Battlefield (Generic)
  102. Final Destination (Generic)
  103. Battle of Light & Dark (Generic, sole unlockable stage)
A sort of extension to this stage list that accounts for stages that were cut in our timeline's Ultimate, making almost every series' stage count doubled. (aside from Metroid, Mario, Star Fox, and F-Zero - all their slots were removed to bring back 6 prior stages - Melee gets two since it contains arguably the 2 most iconic Smash stages ever neck-to-neck, and plus I was just gonna use a Star Fox slot on a Corneria clone lmao - and spare a stage to another rising Nintendo star like Splatoon and AC, Xenoblade) A 3P Others stage has also been added, from a series that already has music.
  1. Hornet Hole (Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest)
  2. Dynamite Run (Donkey Kong: Jet Race)
  3. Yoshi's Island (Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island)
  4. Beauty Contest (Pokemon, composite)
  5. Cloud Sea of Alrest (Xenoblade Chronicles 2)
  6. Pac-Land 2 (Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures)
  7. Mysterious Murasame Castle (Mysterious Murasame Castle)
  8. Ocean City Harbor (Wave Race: Blue Storm)
  9. Laser Hockey (Wii Play)
  10. Living Room (Nintendogs, now has multiple dogs at once and as many potential room styles to appear as dogs)
  11. The Kremlin (Tetris)
  12. Retro Kingdom (Super Smash Bros., renamed Mushroom Kingdom)
  13. Temple (Super Smash Bros. Melee)
  14. Corneria (Super Smash Bros. Melee)
  15. Castle Siege (Super Smash Bros. Brawl)
  16. Gerudo Valley (Super Smash Bros. for 3DS)
  17. Flat Zone X (Super Smash Bros. for Wii U)
I mostly just did this because I was kicking myself for having all the Yoshi stages be one with dark colour palettes lmao

Wherever good books are sold.
Finally, that big roster project I've been yapping about in profile posts for a while now has been finished. I think of it as my own personal dream Smash fangame, less hampered by fan demand and logic and moreso driven by my own bias. It's got 300 characters, split down the middle between first/second and third parties.

Originally I started this as an idea for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Tournament Fighter 2, so I wanted to stay with characters from the era. I put the start of the 2003 series as the cut-off.

While it's heavily cartoon based, I also wanted to add in a few characters from the other incarnations of the time (other games, comics, movies, etc.)

Maybe at some point I'll come back and do a Turtles Forever style roster mixing in characters from the more recent versions.

Leonardo
Donatello
Michelangelo
Raphael
Splinter
Baxter Stockman
Bebop
Rocksteady
Shredder
Usagi Yojimbo
Casey Jones
Venus de Milo (from the Next Mutation. Yeah, I know a lot of people hate it. Tough.)
April (games tend to create completely new looks so they can include her. I felt if she's going to fight, we can give her the look from her "Ninja Newscaster" action figure. Maybe give her an intro where she's wearing the Yellow jumpsuit and pulls it off to have her new look underneath.)
Super Irma (There was an episode of the classic series were Irma got superpwoers. We're using that.)
General Traag the rock soldier
Leatherhead
Slash (I never liked his cartoon look, so we're going with the classic Action figure design)
Karai
Scumbug
Ace Duck
Muckman
Wingnut (Honestly, not sure which design to use for this guy. He's had a few very different looks.)
Metalhead
Genghis Frog
Armageddon (He was in the first Tournament Fighters, so he gets to make a return.)
Shogun (original character added to TMNT II the Arcade game. Always liked that design)
Pizzaface
Monstrex (VERY minor character from the Archie Comics, but I just couldn't resist a character that's part Dracula, part Frankenstein, part Mummy, part Wofman, and part Creature from the Black Lagoon.)
Lord Dregg (took over as the lead villain in the classic cartoon after they wrote out Shredder and Krang.)
Savage Dragon (had some crossovers with the Turtles back in the 90s)
Aska (original character from the first Tournament Fighters)
Hothead
Lionheart (toy only character, but he's a mutant lion with a sword dressed like King Arthur. What's not to love?)
Scratch (mostly famous for being one of the last toys and therefor most expensive on the back market, from the original toyline)

All right, Astro Bot has made this topic popular again so here's a PlayStation All-Stars 2 roster. I made some rosters like this before but honestly they sucked so hopefully this one is better.

I have some rival ideas planned out, and some ideas on how to handle some characters here that may be a bit unorthodox so I might get to them at a later date. Also I can't decide between having Jin be Heihachi's rival and the joke is "you have the same name as someone I know" or Jin being Yuna's rival and the joke is "you have the same name as someone I know"

I'm gonna make an "Everyone is Here"-style roster for Mario Kart, but with the slight caveat that a lot of the character variatons from previous games are now costumes of characters here.
