\the movie was ok but the story was just SCREAMING cliché. funnily enough though Lucario is possibly the deepest character in all history of Pokemon anime (all of the other characters are just ridiculously shallow).
Agreed, deep as Lucario is, only he and Mewtwo are not rediculously shallow.

Sorry about being off topic, I'm still trying to decide on an avatar, or even if I should switch.

It's not that it's too big for the forum. (Although the other forumers might complain. Lucario boards are too cool to complain, though.) The board prevents members from immediately joining and taking up posting space with massive sigs. Basically, you have to become more active in the forum if you want to put images in your signature. I'm not sure of the specifics, but basically all I know is that if you don't post, you don't get the privilege of using

Nonono. You're doing it wrong. You are an AMERICAN. If he says you stole his, you sue him saying you made the original before he can prove it.

It's the American way.

This is why people that play as Lucario are so awesome.
We have blue flames, but we don't flame.

you know whats the best part? there is absolutely NO FLAMING!!
can it be this perfect? if something like this happened in the Ike forums the entire world would implode of improbability.
No, just the next 3 pages would have an eruption of flames to make up for lost time.

Oh, and Riolu is not a young Lucario. They're completely different species, and calling them the same is like calling a Silkworm a Butterfly.

I meant to say legitimate, but the spell check changed it before I noticed.
Riolu is legitimate.

@ Kitamerby
Riolu is the "baby" form, or first evolution.
Lucario is second evolution.
Lucario's make Riolus. Riolus grow up to be Lucarios. (...)

If they were the same species, then Riolu would ALWAYS become Lucario.

It is entirely possible to have a Riolu never evolve.

The same goes for any pokemon that is holding a everstone, or requires a certain amount of "happyness" to evolve.
For a Riolu to evolve into a Lucario, It must have a high amount of happyness, and reach that max happiness in the day time.
The same goes for a Eevee to evolve into a Umbreon (but at night).

They are the same species, and a Riolu will always evolve into a Lucario, but only in the sun and happy.

Eevee evolves into Espeon during the day when happy. :D

Oh, and a Riolu can entirely live his entire lifespan without ever evolving if he feels like it. A caterpillar will ALWAYS evolve into a butterfly whether (s)he likes it or not.

Well, screw caterpillar.

But I stand corrected. But they are the same species, that is undeniable.
They are not however the same elements, Riolu is missing the steel element.
If Riolu will always evolve into a lucario is part true. Its true to the extent of, If it wants to or not.

Riolu is not Lucario and never will be. To say that Riolu is the same species as a Lucario is to say that a person is the same thing as a firefighter. It is possible that one could become another, but they cannot be defined as each other and they are not equal.

The biggest point for my argument is the caterpillar analogy and the fact that Riolu is not a steel type.

Also, if something has to undergo a flashy lightshow just to "grow up" then something's wrong.

Also, it's possible for there to be wild Lucarios, and baby Lucarios via gameshark. How do you explain them if Riolu must become emotionally attached to a trainer in order to evolve?
Obviously, Lucario can have baby Lucario, meaning that your argument has a serious flaw.

It is not possible for Riolu to evolve at night. If 'flashy lightshow" is the sun, then yes, it does need a flashy lightshow to evolve.

I never said a thing about a Riolu to have to become emotionally attached to a trainer. I Riolu can run around and eat berries till its happyness is where it needs to be. Then one day fight something, and win. Resulting in a evolution. Now you have a wild Lucario, without a trainer.

And lucario cannot come out of an egg by normal game measures. With a gameshark, it can.

Also, Charmeleon and Charizard. Same species, different evolutions. Charmeleon is just a fire type, while Charizard is Fire and Flying. But because Charmeleon is the 2nd evolution and Charziard is the 3rd from the 2nd. They are the same species.
Riolu, first evolution, fighting type, lucario is Steel and Fighting, but is the second evoultion of the first. They are the same, but with differences.

A person is not a firefighter, but a firefighter is a person.
A Lucario is not a Roilu, but a Roilu is a Lucario.

Riolu evolves into Lucario when it has max happiness. When Lucario has babies, they are Riolus. There can't be wild Lucarios and there can't be any from eggs.

Nuff Said...they are as similar as any pokemon is to it's next evolution form.

Fantom your avatar looks cool and fits your name. It looks like a ghost, although I'm not really sure what it is a ghost of.

Finally finished drawing my custom Luc avatar. Hurray for custom avatars!

That's Lucario's model, ripped and mapped to a grid.

Someone on another site managed to rip the character models. I need to crop and resize so the model takes up the maximum space in the 75x75 area, but I'm at work and all I have is irfanview...could somebody maybe do that? I'm horrible when it comes to editing pics, lol.
