Harsh way to put it, but I'm with this post. There is no use making a thread about it. It's gone and there is nothing we can do about it.

I miss it too, but making a thread does nothing about it. For me...Brawl isn't nearly as fun and doesn't have the replay value that Melee had....so I now play Brawl but I also picked up guilty gear because it feels good to be able to combo again in a fast paced setting. If it really makes you that distraught though, nobody is forcing you to play Brawl.

You are not the only one. In a few years there will be more competitive Melee players than "competitive" Brawl players. Brawl will be for the casual crowd as Sakurai wanted, and people who care will either go back to Melee or quit.
