Now this might already be known but I saw larry do it here and I did it myself at home a few times at FD.

Go to 1:17.

He starts an illusion like he was going to start it off the edge, but then falco falls a little and grabs the ledge before the animation for illusion finishes. Thus the illusion cancel, and he grabs the ledge. Illusion Cancel Ledge Grab. Don't care about the name, whatever you want, just wondering if anybody else does this. It might be good for mindgames for edgehogging.

EDIT: Yeah btw, I couldn't really describe how I was doing it, but it FELT like I was doing one of those drops you do when you are at the edge of the ledge and you push diagonal away to grab the ledge quick, but the illusion was cancelling the quickness of that motion. I really don't know how to describe this but hopefully someone can help me out. I did it a few times now I'm trying it and I can't do it again X_X.

This is actually a bad option to especially when you could just grab the ledge. Doing that gives you landing lag. The one I did there was completely accidental, I was trying to run from his dash attack and side b.

I do that on accident all the time too, lol. It has no purpose other than that it looks flashy, but yeah it's actually slower than just grabbing the ledge.

It's terrible, I've done it accidentally before too and got edgehogged for it (accidentally as well). Definately not a good choice.

And Larry is pretty much right.....I like to use it as a mindgame tough.

Good observation.....but it does suck. Using this....is stupid. It causes you to get gimped.

????

I don't get it......are you trying to show us that....he used Side-b into that edge on DP?

If so......that's not amazing. >.>

No it's Marcbri's 1v2. When he side-b's into the ledge to gimp MK who was coming below him. More precisely at 7:16.
