What are the rules on counterpicking and stuff like that? All of their videos are on final destination.

FD ****ING ONLY

edit: vayseth, I don't really know who you are, but I just moved to the hokuriku area (southernmost ishikawa pref.) and I plan on traveling to like, shiga/kansai area frequently for MELEE. you should pick up a good game. join me. ;D

i'm so jealous of you, you get to live near MARS, I have to commute ****ing 2 hours by express to get there lol... gay

also, july 18, me and soranaka are getting off on this *****
these ****ers are lucky they don't usually run teams tournaments because Team Hawaii would ****ing destroy.

Teach me and I will learn. I suck at smash, I'm willing to get better.

All I have are these tournaments for now.

I dno melee, but I know brawl:

Brawl is pools: FD ONLY.

Brackets: 1st match FD ONLY, 2nd and 3rd match you can go to FD, BF, Smashville, no restrictions (no bans, you can go back to a stage, etc).

What are you doing this weekend? I'm trying to find a smashfest, but it seems like everyone's busy with exams. I was thinking of going down to Kansai and smashing on Saturday, then visiting a-cho (super famous fighting game arcade I've really wanted to go to in Kyoto) on Sunday.

I can teach you melee if you're willing to learn! I think I give pretty good advice haha. Plus you're in a good area for it. Well, you're in a good area for Brawl too, even though I don't really like Brawl. Either way, I'm jealous lol.

God dammit.. I have been trying to find foreigners in Japan willing to hit up melee for about a YEAR.. and finally in my last 4 days in Osaka you guys show up.. ><..

The peeps in Osaka are pretty awesome and nice guys for sure.
But you need to have a decent level of Japanese to communicate with them..

Japanese is A'ok!

My friend lives in downtown Kyoto so I can go to A-cho whenever. I'm trying to learn SSFIV but I sucks still. My friends are sooo much better than me. Qualifying for SBO and shiz (not in SFIV, but in BB and stuff, haha). I go there for, uh, DDR. Hahaha.

Also, as far as weekends go...

Man, my weekends are packed solid for a while. This weekend I've got a buncha stuff going on, next weekend I'm free tho (the tournament) and it's a 3-day weekend! Maybe sometime then? I'm booked the next couple weekends after that too so the 3-day is all I got =(

Next weekend is the tournament, so hopefully I'll see you there? If Koto or Mars does a smashfest next weekend I'm gonna be doing that primarily. You should too. I might go to a-cho too. Who knows.

And duuude who are your friends who qualified for SBO!?? Qualifying in Japan is soooo hard haha. Like harder than getting out of P4 pools. The only airdasher player who is super famous I know over here is Masashi/Tama. After I get in with the smash scene here I'm gonna start focusing on BB and possibly SSF4. I used to be pretty decent at BB but I haven't played since CT. After I smash for a while I'll start practicing >.>

Btw IIDX and Pop'n > DDR ;D

Edit: Actually, I have a question for you (or your BB expert friends). What are the best places to play Blazblue around the Kansai and Hokuriku regions? I know a-cho is a big one, but where else is there? Particularly, I'm curious about Fukui or Ishikawa prefectures. Ask your friends for me. >_> I just need a good place to practice. I'm down to come to Kansai almost every weekend, but I just need to know where I should go.

I <3 DDR. Also I prefer melee to brawl so that will be fun. I do not really want to play brawl if it is FD only. That stage sux.

DDR for exersise!! Also I don't want to waste 100 yen pero round failing 3000 times before I get good at the other games XD

Depends on where the smashfest is, but I might be able to make it! Give me details!

HeartNana is one of my best friends in the whole world. A-cho is superb for BB, I know that a bunch of players also play in Athena in Osaka (in Nipponbashi, Den Den Town) but Athena is bigger for Arcana, I think. I don't know much about that game, sorry >.<

But yeah, keep in touch. I'm kinda booked like mad so I'll prolly only be able to see you at the tournament but I'll at least see you there!

OK guys im going to try to attend this but I don't know my way around very well because I haven't been here for very long and am not going to be here for very long. I am really excited to see what the Japanese smash community is like.

I registered for that site and sent an application. Was this the right thing to do or are there more/less steps.

Thanks.

Yeah it's good. If you're worried or something I can meet you somewhere along the way and go with you to the tournament. Lemme know if you're interested and we'll figure it out.

Lol ok sounds good. That's tight that you're friends with HeartNana lol. Uhh can you ask him if he knows any good places to play Blazblue in the Ishikawa/Fukui prefectures? That'd be tight.

See you at the tournament. What do you look like? White guy? Btw, I'm only gonna be there on the Melee day, I'm assuming... unless they're the same day, I guess.

are u japan players practicing on other stages to prepare for apex
no one from Melee is going to apex unfortunately ;/

koto(thunders) expressed a lot of interest in going to whatever American national happens in 2011 (hopefully he takes other people, like tani/mach dash/kou/masashi in particular) so we'll practice for that!

Well in a few years I'll be in Japan and up for it. So it won't be too much longer. And I'm not coming over just once. XP

... what the **** is wrong with my computer
どうした? Can you describe what's wrong with your computer so I can maybe help? I know Japanese computers are different than ours but you never know. :o

Yeah d00d, Okinawa is... uh... far, to say the least. You'd have to take a plane to kansai airport and from there it's like an hour to an hour and a half away.
