The video shows brawl Link exploiting the melee air dodging brawl hack (no tripping and l-cancel codes are also activated, however are not really demonsrated) with various techniques and applications from ssbm.

This is nothing more than just a demonstration that is observing what Link can do with these activated hacks in brawl. I'm not advocating for a melee 2.0, I'm only sharing my observations with these codes on.

Link is even more of a beast with these hacks on; he can quickly approach from far away with crazy long-ranged grabs and attacks, has more options with getting back on stage from the ledge, can constantly zair quickly, and can actually combo (bair + triangle jump and air-dodged zairs are too good)

What do you guys think of this?

This is good stuff....

I honestly think Link would do way better in 2.0 than he does in regular brawl.

His falling speed can really help with some of the movement techs....

Link could possibly move up to middle tier with Melee 2.0 O_o. Either way, I'm fine with it. If Melee 2.0 is destined to become the new Brawl, so be it, but if not, that's good too. :)

I didn't see it in the video, but if you cancel the airdodge into a z-air during a rising airdodge, the momentum carries to the z-air almost giving you another jump in height instead of waiting until the end of the airdodge to use z-air.

But yes, very sexy stuff. :)

Yup you are right. The vid was just showing how much faster zairing became with the airdodge. And there's much more you can do with it, just gotta mess with it.

And it does also set up a lot of jab locks because of the added mobility, yet i haven't had a chance to mess around with that too much yet.

This stuff looks really cool, I wish the SBR would at least experiment with it a little to consider it's validity in competitive play. The only thing im really worries about is wavedashing metas spaming dsmash D:. Or wavedashing pikachus...spamming dsmash, or wavedashing pits sliding across the stage while shielding. It looks so cool for link but it would buff so many other characters.

As sexy as it looks... and wished that it looked like this.. I'm still staying with the normal Brawl and the original Melee instead of Melee 2.0 :p

I can understand where you are coming from because all this modding does completely change the game, and brawl should be played the way that it was originally meant to be played. However, if you know anyone that has it or are just thinking of trying it out, go for it. I would like to see you and everyone else mess around with it, just as an experimentation. You all would prolly come up with crazier sh*t than i did haha. Those combos only took me like 5 min to figure out, and i haven't had more time to mess with it. Just give it at least one shot before deciding whether you want it or not.
