Marvel VS Capcom 2 is fun. I wished the game was a little more balanced. Capcom characters are near useless.

Im a massive Guilty Gear fan, but I think MvC2 is better just slightly in my heart. Somthing about hitting the character select screen and seeing that enormous wall of possibilities makes me giggle like a school girl again. They should just make like a 2-D fighters MegaMix and prove whos best once and for all.

Best 2D Fighter ever.

Okay, best team ever= Dr.Doom, Cable, and Hulk

If you pull of all 3 of there supers at once, it's almost instant death.
And if you put Cable, Storm and Sent on the same team you have three god tiers and an unstoppable rush down with ridiculous assists... But yeah you can try and land your level three super on it.

Until you realize only about 4 of those characters are actually viable. Still a great game though, haven't played it in forever unfortunately.

Greatest 2D fighter ever? I think you're confusing this game with Guilty Gear.
Have my children.

And I play a crappy team in Marvel.

Juggs/Cable/Blackheart

Nothing more satisfying than getting the Juggs glitch off and watching like a 1/10th of their life being shaved off with one assist while I have Cable camp like a mofo. Compound that with Blackheart assist shenanigans (anti-air=amazing) and I have fun.

Oh, and there is always the possibility of a JUGGS infinite (provided I have him on point). Sad that they have to be cornered for it to work tho'.

Too good.

More than 4 characters in GG XX AC are viable. Trust me.

Back on topic, I'm usually great at traditional 2D fighting games, but I always have problems with MvC 2. It's probably because of the whole assist thing. It's almost a necessity to have great assists to cover your characters.

He was talking about MvC2 not GGXX.

It's COMPLETELY necessary to have good assists to be competent in high level MvC2 play.

Without it you're not going anywhere.

The only character that can rush down without an assist is the rocket punch god that is Sent, and even then a proper Clops assist can ruin him.

Ya sorry for not making that clear, but I was definitely talking about MvC2. I wish I had some GGXX experience, but unfortunately I haven't gotten a chance to play the game, even though I hear it's ridiculously awesome.

Heck yeah!

I bought this game a month ago at my local Gamestop for $80 and I must say I felt lucky finding it there, it's simply one of the best fighting games i've ever played, my team consist of:

Megaman/Iceman/Ryu = OWN!

They say none of the capcom characters are any good in that game.
Hopefully I can get it after I get my Ps3, but who knows when that'll be =[

Watching people like Justin Wong play Marvel make me afraid to pick up the controller. I don't think I have the endurance or the patience to play Marvel competitively or even remotely well, lol.

It's still an amazing game though. Hell MVC1 is still fun.

Heh, I don't play a good team either (Gambit, Strider, Jin) and I suck at the game to boot. Still awesome.

Strider w/ Doom can be very beastly if you know how to use Strider's animals correctly, along with his teleports, and yes, you'll need bar to make sure Strider can do Orb traps, and obviously Doom needs to in AAA otherwise Strider isn't going to be as strong without him around.

Just remember that Strider's defense like...seriously blows in MvC2, so becareful, otherwise that's a very strong Capcom character you can play as, I mean, he's gotta be, the guys Top-Tier (note that the Elite 4 are above Top-Tier in here). Other two Capcom characters that should deserve a mentioning is Sim and Anakaris, both of them have got some funky crazy shenanigans that they can do, especially Sim lol.

Commando and Tronne are with Sim and Anakaris as well, however these two are excellent assist characters, and aren't all that great as point, which usually results in them being your last leg. It's funny, that Sim, Ana, Commando, Tronne are all considered Upper-Tier in MvC2, however with such huge tier gaps between each of them, they feel more like Middle-Tier up against the Top and especially Elite.

I love this game.

I like Cable/War Machine/Cyclops. Scrubby team I know.

I read that sentinel is the best character in the game I should learn to play as him as well as magneto and storm.

I'm hoping when MvC 2 comes to XBL/PSN, it'll have online. Hopefully lagless online.

Any lag will cripple this game.

Not that I dont believe you guys but is there any evidence or proof anywhere that it might possibly come to XBL? I just dont wanna unnecessarily wet myself and be disappointed.

If only...=/

I could be wrong but I heard that Marvel broke the bond with capcom a little after the release of MvC2 which is why there hasnt been another one :(

If you go to the ESRB site and type in Marvel VS Capcom 2, you'll get a list of what consoles it'll be on. PS3 and 360 are on that list.

So it's been rated, but that doesn't guarantee its release.

Here's hoping it does get a release.
