Marvel VS Capcom 2 is fun. I wished the game was a little more balanced. Capcom characters are near useless.

lol seriously.Marvel VS Capcom 2 is fun. I wished the game was a little more balanced. Capcom characters are near useless.
And if you put Cable, Storm and Sent on the same team you have three god tiers and an unstoppable rush down with ridiculous assists... But yeah you can try and land your level three super on it.Best 2D Fighter ever.
Okay, best team ever= Dr.Doom, Cable, and Hulk
If you pull of all 3 of there supers at once, it's almost instant death.
Until you realize only about 4 of those characters are actually viable. Still a great game though, haven't played it in forever unfortunately.Im a massive Guilty Gear fan, but I think MvC2 is better just slightly in my heart. Somthing about hitting the character select screen and seeing that enormous wall of possibilities makes me giggle like a school girl again. They should just make like a 2-D fighters MegaMix and prove whos best once and for all.
Have my children.Greatest 2D fighter ever? I think you're confusing this game with Guilty Gear.
More than 4 characters in GG XX AC are viable. Trust me.Until you realize only about 4 of those characters are actually viable. Still a great game though, haven't played it in forever unfortunately.
He was talking about MvC2 not GGXX.More than 4 characters in GG XX AC are viable. Trust me.
Back on topic, I'm usually great at traditional 2D fighting games, but I always have problems with MvC 2. It's probably because of the whole assist thing. It's almost a necessity to have great assists to cover your characters.
Ya sorry for not making that clear, but I was definitely talking about MvC2. I wish I had some GGXX experience, but unfortunately I haven't gotten a chance to play the game, even though I hear it's ridiculously awesome. He was talking about MvC2 not GGXX.
It's COMPLETELY necessary to have good assists to be competent in high level MvC2 play.
Without it you're not going anywhere.
The only character that can rush down without an assist is the rocket punch god that is Sent, and even then a proper Clops assist can ruin him.
Captain Commando is AWESOME...They say none of the capcom characters are any good in that game.
Hopefully I can get it after I get my Ps3, but who knows when that'll be =[
I decided to look up some Clockwork videos, and man, he has a really good Strider.I could watch Justin Wong play this game all day.
or DP vs Clockwork
Strider Doom at it's finest.
Heh, I don't play a good team either (Gambit, Strider, Jin) and I suck at the game to boot. Still awesome.Have my children.
And I play a crappy team in Marvel.
Juggs/Cable/Blackheart
Nothing more satisfying than getting the Juggs glitch off and watching like a 1/10th of their life being shaved off with one assist while I have Cable camp like a mofo. Compound that with Blackheart assist shenanigans (anti-air=amazing) and I have fun.
Oh, and there is always the possibility of a JUGGS infinite (provided I have him on point). Sad that they have to be cornered for it to work tho'.
Too good.
Smooth Criminal
THIS is why I like MvC and probably all fighting games in general, it motivates me to one day **** like Wong does, DOOM!I could watch Justin Wong play this game all day.
or DP vs Clockwork
Strider Doom at it's finest.
Strider w/ Doom can be very beastly if you know how to use Strider's animals correctly, along with his teleports, and yes, you'll need bar to make sure Strider can do Orb traps, and obviously Doom needs to in AAA otherwise Strider isn't going to be as strong without him around. They say none of the capcom characters are any good in that game.
Better question: Will there ever be a MvC 3 game? I hope so, but I doubt it.Ah, i can't wait for MvsC 3 =]
It's been hinted at that there may be a MvC3 game, but nothing really has come up about it. So either Capcom is lying to us or they're being very secretive about it. And I think I heard a rumor that MvC2 may be coming to XBL soon. Not sure about PSN though.Better question: Will there ever be a MvC 3 game? I hope so, but I doubt it.
Oops, I meant XBLA. But yeah, it's rumored to be coming because the ESRB already rated it.It's coming to XBL? Like XBLA, or a re-release?
Then prepare to buy a stick or pad. Playing Marvel on a 360 controller sounds horrendous...If it comes to XBL, then I am most def getting a 360. I wanna get into good fighting games.
Oh I am. I need one that can play on the PS2 and 360, so I can play Arcana Heart too ^.^Then prepare to buy a stick or pad. Playing Marvel on a 360 controller sounds horrendous...
If only...=/Ah, i can't wait for MvsC 3 =]
If you go to the ESRB site and type in Marvel VS Capcom 2, you'll get a list of what consoles it'll be on. PS3 and 360 are on that list. Not that I dont believe you guys but is there any evidence or proof anywhere that it might possibly come to XBL? I just dont wanna unnecessarily wet myself and be disappointed.![]()
