I figured it would be a good idea to organize all of the Doctor Mario game footage, and the critiques of that footage in one thread. So, please post any Doc footage you have here! If you want to embed it, use the media button in the post option bar (its next to the smiley face and picture of the mountains/sun)

Good stuff! Will post some critiques later, that Sonic kept on getting hit by Tornado. Usually when I use Tornado a couple times, I get thrown out of it or hit by the end lag.

Grabbed from the other thread, but I'll go ahead and post this for the time being.

I guess I'll post it here. It's still a WIP with a picture at the beginning that is definitely a placeholder, and in some footage you can actually see my forehead and me holding the camera used to record this. I left it in because poverty. The final product will have a better title card (a proper one) and ideally about 3 minutes of footage. It's really just For Glory snippets but they're all pretty great. Lots of Sheet.

Mav(Doc) vs Dabuz(Rosaluma) For Glory mode
So I ran into Dabuz on for Glory, and played like an hour straight.. Here's one of me using Doc on him. He beat up on me a lot more than I beat up on him , so yeah, I'm not on his level, at least not yet ;P. This was one of my better games during our session. Figured it would be good to post since Rosalina's a popular chracter.

You know dude, you held your own alright! I can't suggest much for improvement, I think this MU sucks for Doc (probably 60:40 Rosa's favor), but it's definitely possible! That was close at the end, good stuff! I think the best part about Doc is that he can blast people with one good read.

Excellent. I like the choice of killing options. I find it interesting how Tornado seems to make Rosas very nervous, as does Dairs, due to the multi-hit properties (which also mess around with Lumas). You played with a good amount of patience and aggression. Good job. Though I am a bit unsure how come he left your first tornado on your second stock unpunished. Dash attack would've done the job.

I don't mind the matchup for Doc. He has enough moves to mess around with the Lumas, and pills stunt Rosa's options by a fair margin. It's possible the matchup could be really, really close, thanks to those multihit moves with good knockback.

omegasorin go for tornado/ff nair approaches more and don't use f-smash as much as you were. Also the main thing for doc is using d-throw into up air. Past then you need to mix it up depending on your opponents reaction.

You ended up fixing a lot of these things in the latter half of the match, but I would advise for you to replace a few of your F-smashes with D-smashes you that you can get around rolls a bit more easily and not have as much end lag. F-smash is great and all but you need to use it just a little more sparingly.

Also, try to jump around and air dodge more so that you don't get caught in the air by projectiles and random U-smashes as often. Again, you fixed this a bit in the latter half of the match, but try to do it throughout.

Other than that, your Doc's pretty good. :) Just be a little more careful and you'll be fine.

Good close matches! At kill percents, try fishing for bairs. TK was trying to do the same since bair can be a fast ko option around that percentage. Also, I see you're using Tornado as a read to rolls. You should be able to stop that Dthrow to Nair string that TK was doing if you Tornado after he hits you with the nair. Or UpB as well.

Whenever fair misses or lands on the ground, try going for UpB if you don't have the time to hit FSmash. TK was getting a couple FSmashes.

UpB usually works well as Out of Shield, since you two were during shieldgrabs as well. You recover really good with Tornado though, I usually just use it for horizontal movement :V

Not a full match (it was just really sloppy and slow) but a neat zero to death string I pulled off vs a Marth player.

That bair into FSmash was sexy. Admittedly, that Marth could've recovered better but that was really well done.

Created the newest addition to my combo/string video series with Dr. Mario!

After learning how to play him, I actually picked him up as a secondary that's currently surpassing my fox... I might have a new main :-) I'll also be trying to get some 1v1 sets recorded and uploaded later this week

Yeah, it's good to use for OoS punishes or when facing the ledge for safety purposes. It's a pretty neat technique.

You have to purchase a recording device and record the match from the TV as the replay is playing. I'm not sure what the new one's now-a-days are called. I think one of them is called an Aver Media? I'm old school and still use Dazzle :p

I know I won, but I know there are things I could be doing better. I know I didn't use much tornado, I wasn't really comfortable using tornado as a move at the time. Though I'm still trying to utilizing it well, I'm definitely implementing it into my game a lot more now, especially with edge guarding.
