Melee in Northern IL!?

So i just moved to Schaumburg , and the only smashers I know of are the ones at my school, which is AI, and it seems that all they play is brawl.

I love brawl and all but have been getting bored with it and I have started going back to melee. The bad thing is I do not know anyone to play, so is there anyone around my area that is into melee?
I know there is downtown Chicago, but i am trying to find something closer.

champaign is far as hell from schaumburg.

schaumburg is about a 15-20 minute drive from me.

i have a couple of friends at Ai actually.

and i go to ai in chicago. but i live out west in the burbs.

anyhow, if you find more people we should get something goin'

Correction. The Rey Chun is the best smasher in all of IL.

Next is to find a place...Im new here so I dont know of any good venues

Chung is the best smasher who frequents the Gap Store at Woodfield mall.

...i live 30ish minutes from schaumberg. Id be interested..especially if at public venue.

i have never smashed at a library. aaaand i probably never will. since when do smashfests cost money? wtf? And niu is a bit far from schaumburg.

when my basement gets finished, my place could be an option. that's all i can offer. someone's going to have open up their house if we want to smash.

Well I am in an apartment right now with 4 ppl...so thats why my place probably would not be the best.

Ok....Maybe just maybe if I get some more info from you guys we could play at my apartment....though that prob will not happen...short on room.

Maybe we could play at my school, AI...the only problem with that is the tv is usually taken by people playing brawl.
