Semi-Clones are typically unlockables, FYI.I'd rather they let Luigi be starter this time... people complained that most of the unlockable characters in Brawl were veterans... when most of the unlockable characters in Melee were newcomers.
That doesn't mean they can't be unlockable.Because characters don't have unique stats, there is just light, medium and heavy weight. They are essentially just reskins of every other character...
I actually agree with you. Seems every new fighter now is taking that page of "HAVE EVERYBODY FROM THE START!"Am I the only one who thinks unlockable characters are an archaic design choice? I think we should just have the full roster from the get-go...
Lucas wasn't unlockable...Semi-Clones are typically unlockables, FYI.
They have stat bonuses. I MK Wii characters would have stuff like a bonus in handling or a bonus in drifting that would be different to other characters. Before they would even have unique karts.Because characters don't have unique stats, there is just light, medium and heavy weight. They are essentially just reskins of every other character...
Ness was. One of them usually is. Jigglypuff was in 64, Falco was twice, and Ganon was twice.Lucas wasn't unlockable...
So technically Dedede just got a little nerf?
Agreed, I would much rather have some of the roster locked at first, because I always feel so accomplished every time I unlock a new character that I wanted to play. Having every fighter unlocked at the start makes me feel a bit like... I have nothing forward to, you know? That's one thing I feel modern fighting games have really lost touch with - having characters added on by dlc and expansions feels too corporate and unnatural.I love unlocking things. It makes playing the game more fun. There's nothing more satisfying using a character you worked for, rather than simply selecting them.
No I'm pretty sure he could damage himself in brawl from it too.So technically Dedede just got a little nerf?
Ness and Jigglypuff aren't clones... I thought we were talking about clones...Ness was. One of them usually is. Jigglypuff was in 64, Falco was twice, and Ganon was twice.
Ha ha, we are all so spoiled. Get three new bits of consecutive info, two Assist Trophies and a stage hazard, and detest anything less.
Lookin' forward to One Piece?K.O uppercut is stronger than Dedede's Jet Hammer. Pretty boring picture. Luckily, Naruto is out so I have something else to look forward too. Wednesday's rock.
Jigglypuff was a semi-clone in 64.Ness and Jigglypuff aren't clones... I thought we were talking about clones...
No I don't think so. Then there would be no point to showing this picture, and Sakurai telling us it could damage you.No I'm pretty sure he could damage himself in brawl from it too.
I enjoy how that sentence can be read in two different ways.I sometimes damage myself by overcharging my Jet Hammer.
When playing Brawl, that is.
Read the words after the ellipsis like it's part of the same question. The phrasing is so awkward....
I'm so excited this week. Hopefully we've gotten all the talking out of the way for a few more weeks, there's a lot of fighting going on!Lookin' forward to One Piece?![]()
It did do damage to Dedede in Brawl. No I don't think so. Then there would be no point to showing this picture, and Sakurai telling us it could damage you.
