Lack of actual mains, but just people who hang out there? I was one of those people for like a month prior and after his release.

I was really happy such a badass character was coming back

Well, same as before. Speed and all those people only post in social, they never post outside of it. There's only like 4-5 of us in total actually driving the metagame in terms of matchups, strategies, and such. At least here in Smashboards, don't know about other sites.

I came to invade the Dedede boards and say hi to Shroobi but he still hasn't responded xD.

I tried to make him work, but I'm physically incapable of playing anyone other than for more than a week.

Well Speed's a girl firstoff xD, and no I can assure you that there's probably less than a handful of players (if that) in the world that have more knowledge about Mewtwo or understand him better than I do. Even though I am still not good enough to put all that knowledge and understanding into practice. But I will be at some point .

Was wondering when I was going to be tagged. I saw this discussion going on in the Recent Activity sidebar last night, and was one of the reasons I looked into Spirst's current handling of our match up thread and asked if anyone wanted to take over.

I like the social a lot, I feel it's a great social, but we have no activity in the other threads, bar me, Karsticles, Raynoire and Browny. And I kinda don't like Browny that much

I guess U-Throw started to post outside the Social just yesterday so that might be a new person, hahahaha.

I'll try and tag people and get people more involved, see where it goes.

Hi everyone! I have been a Diddy main for a while, and Dedede has been someone I play for fun. Lately, I have been using him much more and I think he's going to be my new main! Yesterday, I was playing on another's ladder and I played a Dark Pit that was pretty good but obviously not good enough because I 3 stocked him no SD's included He conveniently left right after that though...

Either is acceptable. The paint-me-like-one-of-your-French-girls is more direct, but the dddance looks hella stupid too. Looking stupid is a good thing. Nay, the correct thing. "HA! HA! Look how silly I am! And also I'm beating you." is your ultimate goal. Nothing produces salt quite like deliberate goof-ballery. NOTHING.

I always eat chicken and mashed potatoes before every time I play as King Dedede. Some of you may think I'm superstitious, but don't get the wrong idea, I DO enjoy playing as him, maybe even a bit too much. I always liked King Dedede ever since I was a 13 year old playing Brawl, I just haven't used him in competitive smash ever since Brawl.

I've been hoping to get back to playing as King Dedede sometime, but seeing as how I haven't moved into my new apartment yet, that isn't going to be anytime soon.

All the time. They think they're so great. They get 60% on me right off the bat and think they've got the match on lock. Pass that 60% and the game changes. Her combos stop working and will have no idea how to finish the job. One, two, three and I'm at 150% with all the rage in the world. One hard read and she's boned. I love it.

I mained Dedede since the game came out for 3ds and love how he plays. but recently started to get my rear end handed to me a lot. I have an old FG match of me clobberin' a shiek. I should probably get around to uploading that (and some of the matches I have sitting on my laptop). Dunno if he'd qualify as particularly good, but any time dedede beats a top tier, it's awesome.

He's one of those characters where you play 'em and you explore their playstyle and you're just "YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS!!".

Dedede is a beauty in this game without being boring (i.e. dthrow > dthrow > dthrow etc.) he's strong, ranged, lives forever, has a projectile that while not spammable does put the opponent in uncomfortable situations (and it's stupid online, thanks input lag) and speaking of online, he completely ****s on the Little Macs that love being on FG. It's also kinda scary hearing the sounds he makes and knowing that Sakurai himself made those sounds, namely our star ko scream o.o

He's a penguin in royal attire with an oversized mallet. What other reasons would I need?

Really though, apart from just enjoying whacking people around with that huge mallet, as I played Brawl with real people more and more I began to explore and experiment with his playstyle more and more. I continued to enjoy playing him as I improved my skills, so that, along with already liking him as a character, made me effectively pick him up.

And naturally, I continued to stick with him when Smash 4 came around.
