That's part of why I brought him up alongside Yogi as a legit possibility. Top Cat is actually fairly well known character for a Hanna-Barbera talking animal who isn't Scooby Doo in the 2020s.

Damn, I forgot about **** Dastardly! He'd be hilarious!

(The name **** gets censored? Really?)
Richard Grayson is also a problem :v
Detective Gumshoe is also part of the club...

I hate this site's cencorship sometimes...

I've seen a lot of the issues acknowledged by devs and social media accounts, but has the whole "play matches to earn BP XP" been addressed anywhere?

I might have said this before but this is my biggest issue right now because it's actually useless to block XP behind finite missions. There isn't even a money making excuse because you can't pay for more XP or to refresh missions. It's inconvenience for inconvenience's sake.

It's possible it might be a Warner Bros thing, as they've addressed some of the missing features like all characters for Training and Local, the Post-game stats, and whatnot, but so far, not the XP stuff.

I just want to mention. I did all of the XP missions that I could get from Dailies(including Premiums since I got the Pass), Weeklies, Training and Events and tomorrow, I'm about to get the free 2000 XP which will get me to Level 15 of the Battle Pass. This is without the Weekly Completion Bonus and 1 of my Weeklies(the Joker one).
But regardless, in the first 7 days, I've gotten past 20% of the Battle Pass levels. If they continue to give the same amount of Battle Pass XP per week to give 15 levels each time, I will reach Level 70 in just under 5 weeks. If I'm remembering correctly, the Battle Pass was for 8 weeks/56 days. If you can get at least 10 Levels per week, you will eventually reach Level 70 in 7 weeks. And if you were to get at least 9 levels per week, you will get just enough to beat the 8 week mark, as 9 levels in 8 weeks is 72, meaning you will get to Level 70 around the last 2-3 days. So even without Battle XP, reaching Level 70 can be done in the 8 weeks we were given.

That's not to say I don't support PVP Battle XP, making Weeklies more easily accessible either without requiring a certain character or by giving the necessary characters in the Weekly Rotation to allow players to get the required Weeklies(as well as a re-roll feature for missions), or increasing the amount of Daily Mission XP you can get. Without the Premium Daily, you get 1,500 XP per day from Dailies(750 from Missions, 750 from Daily Completions).
With Premium, besides the extra Daily, it does give you an extra level to the Daily Completion and it stays for the next day, meaning that the first day you get 1,750 XP, on the third day you get 1900 XP and on the 5th day you get 2,050 XP. A Battle Pass Level requires 2000 XP, so Dailies should still be given enough XP to allow a player to get 2000 XP each day, even for players without the Pass.

See that's the thing. Usually when something is blocked off arbitrarily like that, it's supposed to frustrate you into spending money to get it over with, much like they're doing with fighter currency. But there's no way to spend money on XP. You can't buy XP, you can't pay to refresh the missions, nothing. What's in it for WB if there's no money making aspect? Youre already paying for the BP as it is, just let us earn XP from playing again.

Probably for the Players/Daily aspect. I remember someone regarding some of the recent Hearthstone changes regarding things like Dailies and whatnot and they talked about the stuff that are to keep the players coming back, things like Dailies, Weeklies and whatnot and how they use that data to show "the shareholders" how many players are still playing. Something along the lines of forced or artificial playtime, scarcity, etc.
And that can certainly add into what's happening with Multiversus. By limiting the XP to missions instead of allowing players to finish the Battle Pass as quickly as possible and then stop playing until the next Pass, it keeps players coming back for longer and put in more effort into finishing the Battle Pass and they show the shareholders, "look at how many people are still playing our game after launch".

Yes, it is pretty scummy and is another reason why appealing to the shareholders is one of the biggest banes on gaming as a whole. And with how Warner Bros. forced Player First Games to release the game when they had not finished on re-tuning some of the missing features due to the Engine change(Basically, when PFG changed the engine to Unreal Engine 5, alot of the game needed to be re-tuned to the new engine and some of those features were not finished yet when Multiversus released), some of the things we want may not happen for the long time. At the very least, here's hoping the changes they did mention get fixed in and patched into the game soon.

Yeah, the grind still is felt even if u are a returning player. Im basically a pseudo-new player cause from the beta i only have shaggy and WW. So i have to grind a lot to get the whole cast, not to mention me being screwed over by not having specific franchises like gremlins and rick and morty

I’ve only unlocked Richard & Mortimer. None of the others’ kits call to me, but I am interested in buying Gizmo next. I’d rather try before buy if the rumors are true that they’re fixing the roster being locked in Training mode.

It's not a rumor, it's confirmed by the game director that in a future patch you will be able to play characters you don't own in training.

That’ll help out a lot, im currently stuck between wanting to purchase Gizmo or Steven.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick & Morty…

Rick is fun to play and I feel like he’s the mixup god of this game via portals. Also helps that his recovery game is amazing. This video helped me open my mind as I was previously unaware of his side attack cancels, nor did I think about extending the transmogrifying projectile while it was running to catch someone off guard.

Morty feels easier to play but definitely harder to master with his grenades. I was disappointed in how their movement was nerfed, and I’m not totally used to his kit yet. I’m still understanding his stun/snake gun cooldown and optimal approaches.

I use Morty in doubles with his hammer perk only because my friends don’t play characters with projectiles (Jason and Wonder Woman), which doesn’t synergize as well with Rick’s strategy. My doubles games with Rick usually end up with me camping with portal setups while partner takes most of the hits. :p

So all of the Events from today to July 20th have been datamined.
For the most part, look at your own risk or if you want to plan ahead to figure out what to do.

That said, if there's one thing you players should know, there is a 2nd Power Pledge Event on the way, so be careful with your Character Levels if you want to have some low-level characters available for when it comes.

The first one's main prize being perk currency is hilarious. Go through all that for basically nothing!

As a non-Beta player, it's not bad for me. That said, there is supposedly Battle Pass XP on the higher levels, with around 2k for Rank 1.

I got the Joker this morning; he's the first character that I bought with the in-game currency, since Shaggy was free, Banana Guard was a login bonus, and I got Jason for free because I played about an hour of the beta. I could have gotten two characters for the amount of character currency that it took to get the Joker, but I'm a big fan of Mark Hamill's portrayal. The grind was slow by the end; yesterday, I maybe got a whopping 300 character currency, possibly less, out of the 3000 that's required for most characters. (or the 6000 that's required for the Joker)

I'm doing better online in this game than I usually do in fighting games, though I'm chalking that up to the game being free to play, resulting in a lot of players who have no idea what they're doing when it comes to fighting games or platform fighters.

Not mine

Who do you think we'll see first?
I feel like either Powerpuff girls or Samurai Jack is next, PPG was in the Joker trailer and already have their stage, while Jack was a huge request and was hint in the cinematic trailer. I think Aquaman and Raven are probably ready to launch too, but they will want to space out DC characters because we just got Joker at relaunch so I think having a CN characters now would make the most sense.

The Jason Rift just released, and it has me wondering. There are a few new skins in the rift- Harley, Joker, and Black Adam wearing Jason's Hockey Masks. I wonder how they're going to be released. There's also the Bugs Bunny Joker Shirt that you can't buy, even though you can buy Garnet's Joker Shirt.

Do i want these skins? Not really, they're pretty low effort. Definitely not worth 500 Gleamium. It just has me thinking.

Well, the Batman/Joker T-shirts have been slowly coming out. Velma was a Log-in bonus and Wonder Woman's is part of the Joker event. We know that Bugs, Garnet, Batman, Superman, Harley and Joker have T-shirts, so some of them might be Event items like Velma and WW's.

There is also a Batman Shirt/Joker Shirt Event coming up, similar to that Shark Week Event, so more might come around then.

Kinda weird to have Jason before Crystal Lake, but can't complain. There's definitely some weird things with how development has gone the last year.

Btw, do you guys still think we are getting a character every 2 weeks? Cause if Smith doesn't drop next week, then i guess Fumo fumbled with that "leak"

I incredibly doubt it will be every two weeks. Since there are many things they need to do with one character, between making them, programming them, balancing them and other characters, etc. Every two weeks is not happening.

Also because looking at the leaked events, Agent Smith appears to be coming in July.

We got some looks at upcoming stages, specifically The Cat Concerto, Acme Labs, and Camp Crystal Lake. The cinematic for the new Jason rift also has some interesting assets that might be used for the Gremlins stage, Midnight Screening

This just killed Tom and Jerry's chances, he's a stage cameo now!

Was Iron Giant always in the rotation and I never noticed? Or did they keep Bugs, Finn, WW and Lebron for the new rotation and just try to add Iron Giant into the new rotation alongside them? And since he had issues, he was replaced with Garnet?

Because I thought the 4 were the only characters in the currant rotation.
