MVS has been nominated for best fighting game at the game awards a second time

Gonna be honest, I don’t see Multiversus winning again.

The first time around, the only real competition from what I remember was King of Fighters and the Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure game.
This time, the competition is as follows:
DBZ Sparkling Zero
GranBlue Fantasy Versus Rising
The Marvel vs Capcom Collection
Tekken 8

Tekken 8 sold well but treated its fanbase terribly, and consistently throughout this year. I don’t see it getting voted in.

Marvel VS Capcom collection is nice, I have it. I think the lack of anything truly new here means it won’t win. It is a great game for MvC fans, not sure about all gamers.

It’s a toss up between Sparking Zero and Granblue, imo. If Multiversus wins a second consecutive award I will literally spend $100 $10 on Gleamium as punishment.

See this is a factor but I don't think the journalists who vote on this kinda thing really care about that kinda thing, but sparking could win with the fan vote

I'm pretty sure Tekken 8 got this, of all in the list it's one of the big fighting games and even if the fans are unhappy, i think it has more chances to win.

Dragon ball tho is no slouch

I admit I don’t understand the context besides someone saying they voiced a character for an unknown game (which doesn’t mean Multiversus).

Also we have Announcer Packs for non playable characters, so even if Lapis were in, it doesn’t mean she is playable.

I hope Lapis Lazuli is actually playable, she actually had moveset potential where could not only be a announcer pack and Adventure Time already got two more reps so now it's turn for Steven Universe

Some misc things with this update:
1. Eric Bauza is the voice of Foghorn Leghorn’s announcer pack.
2. Anyone who got the Batman 85 version of Shaggy before the Nubia update should now have two versions of the outfit. One yellow, and one black. Both are also now being sold separately.
3. For some reason, the rift difficulties are no longer locked based on what rift it is.

Should i point out that raven no longer has her lines mentioning Daenerys? It's notable cause other character have kept the future proofed voicelines from even the beta, like Batman still has lines for Poison Ivy

plus, you can just continue playing the game or possibly buy the battle passes to gain more prestiges.

Is this a scrapped characters list? Are all these characters happening? Where’s Aquaman, Dexter, Daffy and Scooby? Are Fionna and Pickle Rick separate characters now? What’s that name above Wicked Witch?
If nothing else, they’re getting better at hiding this stuff juuuuuust enough to keep speculation going.

I wouldn't think too far into it. Removing files, no matter how small, can end up having unforeseen circumstances in the future. It's entirely possible they could have also just forgot to remove it; it's a singular file after all.

See that’s the weird thing, all we got is a character tag they used in a mission by accident a few seasons ago, and Candi Milo saying she did voice work for a few video games as Dexter.

Otherwise all we have are the mounds of teases. Like I think Dexter might be the most teased character in the game’s marketing so him being absent in the files is weird.

At this point I genuinely think that the Dexter "tease" were not actually teases, but just fun easter egg because of the stage and boss that was coming. I'm not saying he's not coming at all, but I don't think it's going to be in the near future.
