Okay, so i was playing against my brother and he was using Ness( i was using olimar) and he was off the stage and going for the ledge and i used a grab at the exact moment before he grabbed the edge and the edge grab andimation appeared for a split second and then he got caught in my grab. This might be usefull, i dont know since i just play olimar for fun but maybe it could be used for edgeguarding if perfected? Sorry if this is already known

yea definitely in the guide. it works on some characters and not others.

It works on any character who is above the ledge while holding it. (Squirtle, Ness, etc)
However, this -is- a very good Olimar skill.

yea it's already known. it can only be done on a few chars. though
no no the guide says you can grab some characters off the ledge (AFTER they are on the ledge and invincibilty has worn off) this guy is talking about grabbing people BEFORE they get to the ledge.
ive done this a few times but usually its only when they are comming to the ledge but it dosent sweet spot yet because they arent quit low enough to catch the ledge, so you grab them BEFORE they touch the ledge. It works great on snake since he's so huge. In the past ive tried grabbing people right before they touch the ledge, but ive only been able to reproduce it when it seems like they are slightly above the edgeline.... it would be great if you could just time it right and grab someone before they touch it any time though....the blue pikmin i know go somewhat past the ledge and down some if your close enough.
