They're obviously gonna show off a slew of new games, so that’s exciting. My only question is-

I'd actually be kinda down for a zany blue version of Bowser with a mustache, cap, and overalls.

TBF doing an "everyone is here" for Mario Kart would be piss easy. Most characters can be ported from 8 Deluxe and/or Tour, the only ones that would need to be remade are Paratroopa (who is literally just a koopa with wings), R.O.B (who has deliberately stiff animations), and Honey Queen (the only character who would take the normal amount of work). Bringing in the arcade characters would make it a little harder, but still very reasonable.

There is the wrinkle that everyone's getting chibified to an extent, but they do at least have the models to work with rather than having to make them from scratch assuming they're workable with the new design direction.

Smooshed Wiggler and Honey Queen would look so funny. lol

If nothing else, I don't think they're going to decrease the amount of crossover characters from 8D. I'm expecting even more.

Though they might not show up til DLC. I guess we'll see.

Can we talk about the potential representation of Nintendo's origins (B.G. - Before Gaming) in Smash.

So MK8D had 42(counting Inkling Boy and Female Villager) and Booster Course added an additional 8 for a total of 50(although the roster selection only showed 48 due to combining Inkling Boy and Female Villager with their counterparts.). So if we found 23 characters for the new Mario Kart, already that's past half the roster pre-BC and almost half post-BC roster.

Sounds somewhat promising, but already I'm dreading the lazy choices. As much as I don't want to say it since more than likely if I say it, it will happen, but I'm absolutely expecting it to happen even if I don't say it, I am dreading the thought of Baby Pauline.
