What happened to Speed Run contests?

Yeah yeah yeah, we know we know. It's just that running Nexus is a LOT of work, especially when we're starting everything up for the first time. Don't worry though, it's coming, we haven't forgotten about it.

Our goal is to have at least 1 tournament per month starting this month. We haven't branched off from smash yet because we're still trying to get a reputation and a fanbase so that when we do the tournaments that aren't as popular as say smash or halo or gears of war, we'll still have enough of a turnout to have a real tournament. It'd be a waste of time to have, for example, a mario 3 speed run tournament if we only had like 5 people show up.

We are really excited to do tournaments that aren't as mainstream, and actually it's one of the things i'm really looking forward to. Especially for the older games that we grew up with that aren't the major tournament titles right now (for example mario kart 64). But we need to have a reputation for having good tournaments first before anyone will come .

It'll come though, don't worry!

The tournament will end whenever we finish all of the events. Can't really say a guaranteed time, but last couple times we usually ended around 8-9ish.

Man... first JTB and now you lol. Read the thread first~!

Food we also have in our first post, but i'll say it again. We're going to have a concession stand at the tournament (just like we did the last 2 times). It'll be a dollar for everything. We'll have pizza, soda, water, chips, and cookies. Seems like pizza is a big hit, so just bring a couple bucks and you'll be fine for lunch (we'll have pepperoni and cheese).

Also, I think the people at the church will be having food too, but we don't know the details of what they're going to have. I just know what we (Nexus) will be selling there.

And the matches that are recorded do go on Youtube.

On a sidenote, I'll record matches this time, No more johns from me. I'll either bring a camera or a VCR.
