"Paper Mario" Sticker Star... That made me question his judgement, seriously practically no unique characters, just a bunch of boring toads. He's more of the gameplay over story and character development kind of guy, so if Metal Mario is fun to play as, there's a chance he would approve of him. Not to mention IT'S MARIO'S 30th Anniversary, I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo wanted to give us more Mario, that's what there entire e3 was about basically.

There's no other leaks, the only other one was that we'd be getting Wolf plus 1 character per region, Shovel knight for US, Bandanna Dee for Japan, and Dixie for Europe, but everyone screamed fake because the leaker said Sakurai couldn't come up with a moveset for Krool, which I think actually helps prove it true, since Sakurai has a different vision of the character than we do, as if Ridley wasn't already an indication of this. I've also just gotten so bored with the lack of news that for any leak that has Wolf character DLC in it, I'll just say **** it leak confirmed. Though I still think that region leak may have some credibility, think about it.

Sakurai learned not to do region specific characters in Melee.
The only reason you think the leak is confirmed is because it has Wolf. A biased outlook is a bad one.

How would rumors reassure you? For me I have Star Fox Zero to reassure me a little, I figure they would hold him off to be revealed along side its release date, because if you think about it that would make sense since as far as we know with what little info we have Wolf will be in that game.

It's kinda optimistic but it's a very realistic situation. We've done all we can to support Wolf by stuffing the ballot so now all we can do is wait and hope he's already in the works.

Wolf has enough going for him that you shouldn't have to cling onto a crappy fake leak to remain hopeful. The fact that he's highly requested, has a moveset due to his veteran status, and ties into a major upcoming Nintendo title are all reason enough.

I don't consider him as big a shoo-in as most of the community seems to, but I think his chances are still good. The only way he's not getting in is if veteran DLC is truly done.

I view Wolf as a little more dead than others.

Mostly because it seems as if Sakurai wasn't even really sure he wanted to add him to Brawl in the first place.

I think he deserves Smash status more than Falco as a character, but I feel like Sakurai definitely has more allegiance to Falco than he does Wolf.

Both.

Falco is a sidekick, and he's not a particularly iconic sidekick like Luigi, Diddy, Tails, etc. I literally went ''Really?" when I unlocked him in Melee, because while he's memorable. He's never felt like he had the status to be in the game. He's a cool character, but he just feels like he only made it because he's a different animal and not because he actually is hugely iconic.

Wolf however has a primary role in the franchise. He's the rival/anti-hero/villain/leader of the other team. Has the better alternate to Fox's play-style, but that's a more personal opinion thing. And the only thing really seemingly holding him back in Sakurai's eyes that he wasn't there before Falco is that he's too similar in build and appearance to Fox.

I believe that's how Doc will look in the gritty reboot of Dr. Mario.
