I'm considering getting Disney Infinity 3.0. I keep going back and forth in my head. It's essentially "My Childhood: The Video Game," probably even more so than Smash, as I got into Nintendo as a whole and all their IPs AFTER playing Brawl.

If Disney makes Gravity Falls figures, I'll be 100% sold and will buy it instantly. There is a pretty good chance, as on an official poll to decide a new figure for Disney Infinity, Mabel (who was confirmed to stand for GF representation as a whole, meaning we'd also get a Dipper figure) is in 1st place, with 50% of the voters choosing her. Her only competition is Darkwing Duck, who has 45%. It's pretty funny. There's 20 characters to vote for, most of which are Classic Disney characters, and they're the only ones above 2%. Even if Darkwing Duck wins, it won't be by a lot, and I doubt Disney will pass by the opportunity to make even more money by making both.

For those who are going to be watching Paragon today, a lot of plans are changing as we speak right now.

1.) Paragon 2015 has been delayed to 12PM PST for ALL streams.

2.) For Project M fans, Twitch (essentially) just gave them the boot and they are going to stream at hitbox.tv instead.

3.) For those worried about not being able to use Multitwitch, someone came up with another option to where you could watch the hitbox.tv streams as well as the twitch ones in one tab.

I will update you guys if anything changes, but at the moment this is what's been going on.

I dunno man... I'm of the opinion that there's more of an attitude problem with the people sending death and **** threats than with the people advocating for some change in game representation.

Hostility and childishness is met with more hostility and childishness. It's a vicious circle.

They're taking their sweet time, but Mabel just won the official DI poll so they're a 99% certainty. They should have been in 2.0!

I'm pretty sure Kirby is more popular than Samus; DK, Little Mac, Jigglypuff, Mega Man and Duck Hunt should be higher, Ganondorf, WFT, Ike and Zelda should be lower, Captain Falcon is a meme, etc.

Also, at Iwata's death a friend of mine was bashing Anita because of a quote of how she hopes Nintendo used it as a way to improve their stuff towards women. Most people are introduced to Fire Emblem through Smash; Smash was the gateway for the series to get translated.

People who played Melee or Brawl but not FE:A will know who Marth is. They likely wouldn't know who Robin or Lucina are.

That tier is horrible and I can do a better one. With DLC characters

They're all pretty much in the same boat, maybe not so much Ike since his games didn't get a lot of exposure but Smash definitely helps his case.

Marth well, you can't really know Lucina and Robin without knowing Marth.

This tier list is awful.
The only bit I agree with is the top tier. But honestly? I think Link is more iconic (well, maybe not anymore) than Luigi and Peach...even if he is only known as "Zelda" .

I know he's technically a Smash original character, but the fact Mr. Game & Watch is at the bottom kills this for me.

Ryu should be moved up, he's pretty much the front runner of an entire genre.

Toon Link being with Link wouldn't hurt, I mean outside of Smash they are the "same" character and Nintendo really likes bringing back the design as well. Zamus is in the same boat imo

Toon Link and TP Link are on the same boat, definitely. Maybe Toon Link is higher, Nintendo promotes the hell out of the Toon designs.
Not so sure about ZSS. On the one hand, most people (i hope!) know that Samus is actually a woman...but I don't think as many people know what that woman looks like.

I don't really want to start an argument in this thread nor spark a debate. I just really need to get something of my chest regarding the whole Paragon 2015 fiasco. Disclaimer: This is just my opinion.

In terms of my preferred Smash Bros. game, that would have to be Smash 4. It's a game without any advanced techniques and is easy to master. So its my game of choice. My second preferred Smash Bros. game would have to be Project M because it feels a lot newer and brings something fresh to the table (in my opinion). These two Smash games I play a lot as I have a deep bond with them.

This might sound weird, but even though I prefer Smash 4, I have this deep feeling of Nostalgia for Project M (yes, that kind of nostalgia). Project M is what got me into Smash as a whole. When I found out 3.0 was coming out, I was so stoked. That's when I found out about Smash Boards. From there on, I started following the Smash Community for continuous updates and tournaments. It even got me more hyped for Smash 4!

Seeing a game that you know and love get neglected like that is really hard. On top of that, hearing speculation of NDA's behind closed doors so that the Smash Community won't erupt into flames and hearing tons of conspiracy theories is really breaking my heart. Why can't we just enjoy a game that a lot of people love and have fun? Is that so much to ask?

I understand that at the end of the day, profits always come first in businesses like Twitch and Nintendo. But they are hurting a community whose spent hours of dedication into this game. Basically taking away players their right to express their beliefs. It's just sad that it all had to end up like this all over a ****ing video game.

And yes, I do realize the legal mess this game is in. But this was just pure venting of my emotions and feelings. I'm sorry if I missed any facts or whatnot. I just had to vent as this is just getting super annoying.

Yeah true. But even then I hate arguing about popularity in Smash because everyone is popular when they become a playable fighter.

There are characters more popular than others but they are all well known characters thanks to Smash itself
