Smash Wii U No Midnight Launch?

I'm in complete disbelief at this point. My local EB Games didn't have a 3DS midnight launch so I shrugged that off since it was on the 3DS. I went in today to grab Alpha Sapphire real quick and they told me they are not going to be holding a midnight release for SSB4 for Wii U either!! That is unacceptable and I am contemplating cancelling my pre-order and just going digital. Any of your local stores not hosting a midnight launch for Smash 4 for the Wii U?

Then again, I'm gonna be risky and walk in and buy the game with no preorder.

This is awesome, and Bro I live in Waterloo as well! Too bad the closest location is London. I'm not about that travel life -_-. Still considering going digital at this point.

No word on my GameStop doing midnight release for me. But then I think it's still too early to find out if they are.

I know my Gamestop is having one. I was actually pretty glad it was. Too bad my preorder is at Toys R Us. Not sure if they're doing the midnight...

I would really like to go to a midnight release but in my region there never was any for any game.
But they do always break street date a day or two. It's pretty exciting actually to look if the games are on the shelves already.

As of now, my local GameStop don't have enough reserves required to be able to hold a midnight launch. I'm just hoping by Saturday or so, that they're able to!

Mine had one for Smash 3DS and the line was Loooooooong.

It probably comes down to where you live. Gamestops that didn't do it for 3DS may not for Wii U. Given that the pre-orders make this Wii U's biggest early seller so far, my guess is that places with large customer bases probably will.

I'm pretty hyped actually, the one in North Vancouver (Park and TIlford) is doing it at 9:00pm instead of 12 so we can be caught up with the East Coast.

I have to get up for work 6:30 AM Friday morning... can't be waiting up til midnight. I don't mind waiting until the morning. I like that feeling of delayed gratification so it will be like Christmas when I bust out of work.
