Zivilyn sorry to hear that. Jobe - I think I played him at NCT, he was a good peach, I'll be sure to play him this time around.

Crew battle : Smooth Criminal, if he comes then we should do it.

If you didn't see my first post in this thread: the parking lot on 4th street right near the campus has FREE FREE FREE parking on weekends. So go there instead of the parking garage on campus.

Also, if I go and you want your match recorded, see me when I get there. The people that get priority are me, BTZO and method mike. If nobody sees me, then I'll just tape random scrubs until the matches start having meaning.

Interesting. I've been a long time competitive Tekken player, I actually consider myself amongst the highest ranking players just below the top in the community.

My side love has always been Smash Bros Melee but never really persued a competitive society to compete in. I have a Tekken DR tournament this saturday at about 3-4pm. It might be possible for me to stop by the college and get a few games in or even enter depending on how quickly I get 0-2'd.

I live in Cen Cal and I even have a little newb Cen Cal Smash Bros crew.

Names ONi Shinigami in both Tekken and these smash boards.

I use Marth/Falco.

Yes I know how to wavedash
Yes I know how to L-cancel
Yes I know the set ups

I just haven't played with our competitive players before. It's kinda hard when you live in Turlock-Modesto area lol.

At MLG SF I was the "Guy with the Orange Micro Controller"...

Yeah it had macro & turbo and everything...it's allowed, don't worry about it. And even if you do use the turbo & macro functions on it, I bet it won't be as accurate as my button mashin'...hAhHAhAh..hahh...hahaha...alright

Don't worry about the funky controllers, bring 'em...use them...and tell someone if you are going to use the special features :)

Try to avoid controllers that have special features, but if you will absolutely die if you don't use your orange micro controller, that's perfectly alright.

Will food be provided, you know, an adequate amount for the 30 or 40 people that will show up? If not, is there a Jamba Juice nearby?

Yeah I've been meaning to say something about food - what does everybody want me to do? People complain about not getting pizza, which is understandable, because there isn't really enough for everybody to have a lot of slices [not to mention the people who keep taking extra slices] [also not to mention the people who didn't officially participate in the tournament but still get in line to get pizza].

The first thing to say is that the club cannot pay for any part of it, so that's out of the question. The only way pizza can be paid for is with the participant's money [you guys]. I forgot exactly how much money it costs to buy pizza for you guys, but it roughly totals to about $60 [I'll ask Treasurer Ken - he knows all about that kind of stuff]. With about 35 average people participating in each tourney, the pizza is pretty much paid for, but it's still not enough I guess. Maybe taking money out of earnings, or adding an extra dollar to participate in teams will do the trick. We'll see.

----------

Let's see how pizza goes this next tournament and see it from there. There's resturants around - there's a place called La Victoria's which has REALLY REALLY good burrito place. I'm sorry, but what can I do? Sorry if you don't get pizza. Let's see how it all works out.

I absolutely do not mind buying my own food. I actually perfer it, just so I don't get stuck with the choice of egg pizza or nothing (B4N). I'd hope that you wouldn't take money out of the entry fee just so everyone gets food. Let people get their own stuff; some people were doing that last time.

Perhaps you guys should not do the pizza thing. The two times there was pizza I did not get any. one was because well ppl took extra slices i guess. last one was because I was just called for a match against this one guy(then heard pizza arrived) and by the time the set finshsed there was no more

so yeah take off the fee maybe >__>

I know I could have prevented this and its definatley not any of the host' fault but i mean unless u get every1 offf the tv's and make sure everyone gets 1 slice be4 ppl getting back in like again then yeah cus its not working -_-

Okay, first things first...

1. set your priorities straight. if you want pizza, don't play a match. hahaha... and forfeit ;). but seriously, last time there was pizza (about 2 weeks ago) everyone was COMMANDED to get off the tvs and get in line. and the line didn't start moving until everyone was off of the tvs. i think.

2. David... aka kizzogirl... Isai was right. I am the San Jose State Champion. I will only let my title die if Isai says so... or you best me 3 out of 5. random tourney stage each time.

3. I will be there tomorrow. along with my buddies ken and dan. i want to be part of a crew battle. if any one needs an okay player for crew battles, that is. if not, maybe i'll do some recruiting myself. or maybe we could have a SJSU crew.

If you order pizza just make people hand you a dollar when they get their slice. Or however much money you think should allow them a slice.

I don't mind paying for pizza or walking to a nearby food place, as long as no one steal my cube.
