I haven't played anyone since derek left, and i only played 3 times the 2 prior months before that. I'm pretty confident ciz would smash me at this rate. Nonetheless i'd still would love to play him in a 3 out of 5, just hope i don't get beaten that bad .

ciz i know where you're coming from. I have to work july 2nd anyway so i wont be at gc, and to be honest I wasn't really planning on going to this next gc because I feel like there are better ways to prep for genesis than paying $15 to be in 'play to win' mode.

I'd much rather play friendlies and just test stuff and learn. I'll be at the august gc for sure tho, it's just this july one im gonna pass.

I'm not tryna clown anyone for not entering or anything, but I already posted a rant about how friendlies and techskill practice are hardly the most important. All the suicides everyone does aren't because you don't practice enough techskill if you already do practice a lot of techskill. I still think the same. Kline practices the most techskill and plays more friendlies than any of us, and all that ***** does is SD and do tight mewtwo combos.

Idk, don't enter GC if you don't want to Andy/C!Z/whoever, but I'm sure the players who have been going to tournaments for less than a year who are still down to enter and probably not make top 2 are still going so I just feel like it's kinda greeze to make the bracket smaller for them because you expect bigger tournaments. It's redundant and obvious for me to point out that not entering tournaments isn't going to increase the size of them now or later, but I feel I should do it just the same.

I mean I'm clearly just lookin out for the pot, but I also simultaneously think that tournaments are way better practice than friendlies and not entering tournaments at a great venue is butt.

Totally agree shane, being able to play clutch is probably the most important. But in my defense:

genesis is to a final exam as gameclucks is to a quiz. Going to otto's and playing with him and ciz is sort of like a study session? idk. I don't really practice by myself because samus execution is pretty simple. Whats more important (for me anyway, at this point) is practicing mixups and not relying on safe patterns, and playing with good players

I'll see if i can get time off to go to gc but I'm not going to stress if im not able to go.

GC's are usually once a month and they are good ways to meet the more competitive ppl and play for $$$ but everything we do at GC we can do at the fests w/o the venue fee so pick your poison GC usually has more setups but i'm trying to change that xD

the next GC is this Saturday, July 2nd and i believe Canada might be coming which would be FU**ING RAAAAAAAPE
