omg otto i want to do falco dittos with you on mushroom kingdom II. falco is SO FUN on that stage
everything combos into everything, like every laser pattern you can think of is viable, including run off double lasers in various ways from the waterfalls, you can side+B in the middle of a combo, or really just as an approach or for no reason because of the side edges, and walljump bull**** on the waterfall sections is fun lol
dair gives you random *** kills cuz the waterfalls too. **** idk i just fought a computer for 15 minutes on that stage and it was amazing haha

na, there is more to it, I guess I shouldn't have said only. but im gonna try going all fox to see how it goes. I just randomly doubt my fox sometimes even vs people id been ****** all day. so I need to get over that. so its more like I made a commitment than a promise. *giggity*

edit: also otto go in the fox advice thread and critique some of my videos vs MARS (Marth) if you feel like it. I realized a lot of things already (me and brookman talked about a lot of stuff; he's good vs marth cuz he plays with Cort a lot) but if you feel like offering any general advice i'd be all ears :3
make sure you watch the one where I 4-stock him too lol
uhhh regarding ssbm in general:
man, it's so trippy the way people over here play SSBM. just... in terms of mindset, it's really incredible. they play FD-only, so they only really worry about one stage when they learn a matchup - so people have REALLY specific tricks in given matchups. it's really inspiring. this guy over here, Maeve, who is probably otto's #3 fan (gotta give #1 and #2 to me and ciz - Maeve is RIDICULOUSLY technical lol and he always tells me how jealous he is of me that i'm homies with THE silent wolf) has a really amazing falco vs. marth game (for his overall skill level, which is below me) - he mixes up high lasers (that don't get powershielded), low lasers, and fake lasers (sound only) on purpose, because there are a lot of people over here who powershield as well as Diakonos (~90%...) it's trippy lol.
When I talked to Koto (Thunders) about going to Genesis 2, he said his biggest concern overseas wasn't nervousness, but platform stages. we played a bunch of friendlies on platform stages, and we had a pretty in-depth conversation about transitioning from FD to platform stages - he asked me stuff I never even really put that much thought into, like how to avoid using shine on a platform and accidentally falling through, how important do I think running shield drops are, in what matchups is it better to camp the platforms, and when is it better to dashdance on the ground; and so on and so forth.
idk. ssbm ***** lol. i only get to play once a week max now (pretty much) because of how far I am from most people. but i've become really good at programming/not procrastinating so when I get back to UW I'm bout to do all my homework hella fast and go to otto's like twice a week LOL

i assume you guys dislike brawl discussion in here, so ill just post and see what happens
PlaySmart (a game store @ the tacoma mall that runs various other game tourneys) is willing to run Brawl/Melee tourneys as long as we have a stable community and players are willing to "pre-register"
They were planning on running their first tourney this friday, but because of too many casual***s not knowing how preregistering worked, it got canceled >.>
anyways, i had a discussion with the TO earlier today and he said it was definitely possible to run BOTH Melee and Brawl tourneys, but not both at the same time. He said that one tourney can reach top 8, and then the next tourney begins on some other setups (We have a maximum of 5 setups for both tourneys. ****sux)
Anyways, i thought of this as an opportunity for the Competitive Smash scene to grow in washington, and i wanted to ask you guys if you can help out with this by letting any brawl/melee players know that we have a new venue here in tacoma willing to do tourneys. anyways, thank you guys, id really appreciate it if you helped
