yup..its not really the speed its the precision.to get from top left to right or top right to left..I also found it worked better if instead of of jamming it from one side to the other like a shine cancel. Kind of bring it over with fluid-like motion then when you're at the right and left part of the control stick then let go immediately..it's also somewhat of a good sign if you are reverse Up-B'ing at a 45 degree angle..If you are doing that then its just a matter of speed

Germany, but i dont use this account anymore, my n
Fox's hitbox for the shine comes out on the first frame, Falco's comes out on the 4th frame, Doc's up+B cancel comes out on the 3rd frame in the initial direction. .

WOOOOOOOOT ?!

Falcos Shine is exactly as fast as Foxes .
Peach/Sheiks Jab hitbox comes out at frame 2 .
You gonna tell me there faster than Falcos Shine ? olol

Falcos shine is as fast as Fox´s and can be canceled as fast as Fox´s.
Probably you heard that Falcos jc shines are a bit slower than Fox´s , cuz his jump
animation lasts longer (6 Frames for Falco and 4 for Fox).

$hyne you're right. I tested it the other day and I saw that Falco and Fox's shine comes out on the first frame. I guess that I heard about 2 years ago when I first started getting competetive something that confused me until I saw it again a few days ago. What it was is that somehow I got the fact that Fox's shine is invincible on the first frame ('cept for his forehead) and that Fox and Falco jump cancel the shine on the 4th frame had gotten mixed up in my mind.

Fox's shine makes him invincible on the first frame, Falco's doesn't. Fox and Falco jump-cancel their shine on the 4th frame. That's what I should've said earlier but I had them mixed up until I saw it again in AR a few days ago. My bad and good stuff for sticking with your fact $hyne even after I disagreed.

Oh yeah, another thing. I didn't mean to mislead you sk8tingam0r, since I'm the one that's teaching you about Doc.

yea 18 spikes is really good at it he does it about 60-70% of the time prolly one of the best doing it or if not the best.
I'm sure there are plenty of good upB cancelling docs out there. I for one can do it consistantly. My record is 12 in a row I think.

i randomly started practicing the up+b cancel.
idk but imo its really not that hard for me. especially when im right next to the opponent. i hi it almost everytime i try it, but when im standing alone, its harder for me to pull it off... o.O" kinda weird but yeah

I can probably only do UpB cancels like 30-40%... <_<
It's pretty hard. I think it's a pretty good combo starter,
especially out of shield, but that's even harder.

Do you move the control stick like almost vertically, just SLIGHTLY slanted?
Or does it have to be really slanted? Kind of hard to explain it.

poocrumz- it's because of the hitlag

aAndy- I find it easiest to go from the top conrner of the control stick to the other e.g. the topr left to the top right. You can't really combo out of it apart from Bowser I think.
