Petition : SmashBros Brawl needs a better Release-Date in EU

To: Nintendo of Europe

Dear NoE

The european gamers are not pleased with your decision to release the upcoming 1st-party game "Super Smash Bros. Brawl" not before Summer/Fall 2008. You should be able to translate such a game within months! The european translation-team even posted translated screenshots at the SmashBros.com Homepage in each european language (Update from 2006-06-28) so there's a proof that the game has been translated from the beginning and not after the the development has reached a certain stage.

Why do we European have to suffer like this? There is no reason to delay the game either. We're the fans and we would like to buy the game as soon as possible and not a half year later after the original release in Japan and America.

Though they DO have reason to delay the game.
It must be bundled with all 5 EU languages, on the same disc.
Including all Pokemon and assist trophy voice acting.

So there's a lot of translation work to be done.




But still. 6 months is gay.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Smash Bros Brawl is announced to be released in Spring, therefore in March - April - May - June. It says it on every single magazine here in Spain (the official Nintendo one too)

Yes but Nintendo themselves say AFTER spring. I'd rather believe he company rather than some dodgy Spanish magazine.

I don't think IGN have a good track record with European release dates.

Also, I very much doubt NoE will listen and/or care. They don't seem very enthusiastic about work.

He's right guys. Nintendo corrected their mistake already. It won't be out after Q2 2008, thank god.

Well i signed it and i'll ask my friends to sign it too. I really hope this works, im sick of NoE giving us the same game america got but one milenium later.

I'm American, so this doesn't apply to me and I'm getting Brawl in early February. However, I will say that releasing such a bombshell in Q2 would only stir up some hate for Nintendo. Obviously, it should be a priority for NoE to get the game out in Q1 so that they can a) please the fans and b) show that they're not so horrible at fair worldwide release and distribution.

you guys don't know anything do you. You don't even listen to reason.

Smash Bros wasn't on the list because a PAL release date hasn't even been given yet.It's the exact same reason why Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn isn't there either. No releaste date confirmed for PAL regions.

They never said once that Smash Bros. was going to be released in Q2. There is NO DATE!

Also it should be noted that the american version and Japanese version both have multi language support too. So all that needs to be done is convert NTSC to PAL.

I look forward to still hearing a release date by the end of January nothing has been confirmed yet!

So wait a while. Wait until you have the facts straight.

Sorry if this sounds like i'm being mean but this is the way I am dealing with it and I believe we will see this game by Easter. If not, then I guess it's time I do some chipping and import.

Because nothing will ever be right. Just be glad you actually get games now today, and very recently sometimes. I remember back in the day we had to wait a whole year sometimes.

Well IGN had the boxart before anyone else to my knowledge, at least before people were running around confirming that it was the correct one. Also, they didn't have a date until a few days ago, so they may know something that others don't. I don't think IGN would put up a random date to get everyone's hopes up.

No, it doesn't matter either way because I doubt Nintendo would even pay attention to this. Petitions never work anyway and I'm pretty certain Nintendo has more important things to do than pay attention to things like this. Sorry to sound all pessimistic but thats the truth. Just wait it out. Europe hasn't even gotten an official release date yet. I t could be earlier than you think

Sign'd, but I doubt it'll work anyway.

Starmen.net had a petition of 9,000 anticipating the release of Mother 3. And Nintendo brushed it off.

It won't work but it wouldn't hurt to take a couple of seconds out of my busy schedule . I'll sign after this post.

Although as many people said before, we don't really have a 100% confirmed release date. Just because it wasn't mentioned on the release list doesn't mean it can't come out during Q1 or 2, but I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't.
