I totally agree with you. That's why I get box sets or buy off of ebay. I got 200 dollars with of anime for 50 bucks.

I really want to support anime in america financially but it's just a terrible deal. I don't purchase tv show box sets or movies for the same reason. Or cd's for that matter...really just the entire entertainment industry is a huge scam. >_>
Stuff like Netflix and whatever that subscription music service (rhapsody? i think) is a far superior way to get said entertainment.

Lol I used to do that, but I don't know...there is something about owning the box set and the DVDs that just makes me giddy. It reminds me of all the hard work I did in saving money and trying to find the best deals for me to buy what I want.

I also enjoy watching anime on my TV over my desktop. Oo and since I have the DVDs I am able to share my anime with my friends more easily. For some reason they are more inclined to watch anime with me on DVDs over me giving them 2 gigs of episodes.

Yeah that's definitely true. I dunno I just enjoy the style and the humor of anime a lot. Very few series really break the mold and do something different or unpredictable, and even those that do often have predictable endings.

Yakitate!! Japan is the funniest show I have EVER seen. Family Guy is like a funeral compared to that :o Anime is win
