Delivering pizza's is a really good spot to start (you get paid full min. wage plus tips--which i still don't understand why... lol)

Working in another general restaurant should be available (you just gotta find the right one). Try hosting/waiting tables. My family owns a restaurant in NC, so if you are ever lookin' for a part-time job near here (maybe for some wierd internship or something at our clinics O_O), you know where to find me.

Just mentioning on paper that you are a 'quick learner' or 'hard worker' and have 'work experience' or 'high ethical standards' will get you far in terms of basic job applications.


Any tech skills like experience with WORD or EXCEL or other graphics/computer related stuff will land you some jobs through your college's career services/counselling center.

I have a job (minimum wage, grocery store bagger, only working 1-3 days a week on average >_<) that I got in May, and I was really lucky to get it in the first place. I went in to apply, person said they were out of applications, went to talk to the manager, he was like "hey you're hired" and I was like yesz.

I'm still trying to find another job but it's freaking impossible.

Also, I'm sad that I'm not a girl because if I were, I'd be able to become a cashier at this store, therefore getting more pay and more hours.

BUT NO. SEXISM OBVIOUSLY EXITS.

Me: "I could be a cashier...I'm 20 (you have to be at least 19 to sell alcohol, for some ******** reason) and I have some cash register experience."
But do they train me? No.

Instead they hire some 16-year-old girl that has no cashier experience, far less experience than me in general at having a job, and she's way too young to sell alcohol.

Pretty much all the cashiers except for one are female.

And 3 of them are pregnant.

Just felt like ranting because it's not always women that get the sexual discrimination. JUST SAYIIING ~
