Practice for Brawl with Melee

Not really. Melee has very precise controls, while Brawl has its buffering system, so even doing things like rolling feels weird at first.

i actually stopped playing melee a lil while before Brawl because i knew the controls would feel weird, the best thing you can do is practice teching or shield grabbing if you don't know already...but like shady said not much can be done because melee has precise controls.

You could learn to short hop with fox, doing so will enable you to short hop in brawl with ease.

^ Very true. Which is why after playing the fast paced awesomeness of Melee and then moving to brawl, it is very easy to read peoples moves. So Continue to play Melee and you will have the upper hand when you get brawl.

Watch lots of videos on youtube of whoever you plan on maining (preferably of a good player). I watched every single NC-Echo video of Olimar before I got the game and I feel it really helped me start off not so noobish at Brawl.
