I believe they're referring to this: http://www.lakora.us/brawl/ssseditor/What's an SSS editor. Sorry I'm behind on this

Can confirm. Does that if you manually blank out the bytes between the two pages. Been working at it all day and I have the same layout as Signdog (but on my actual console because I didn't even bother with the editor).
Will update if I figure it out. Seems to work from 1-5 and then from 15-26.
Code:00 6B 92 9C 00 00 00 0B 06 6B 99 D8 00 00 00 0B <- Number of bytes for screen 1 1C 16 0C 15 01 18 20 28 00 1A 23 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 6B 92 A4 00 00 00 15 06 6B 9A 58 00 00 00 15 <- Number of bytes for screen 2 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 0A 0B 0C 0D 0E 0F 10 11 12 13 14 17 19 00 00 00
Still getting the same issue as Signdog and a couple others in this thread. 11 stages causes a crazy alignment issue.
Since for whatever reason 15-26 is perfectly fine I just gave up and formatted my screens in strange ways
The second page bottom row does get covered up by the random and page buttons but since those are only training stages beneath them, I think it's okay. Duct tape measures until someone figures out the problem. Here's the code (You'll have to overwrite 1 extra line at the bottom (which hopefully doesn't break something random))
Code:04 6B 8F 5C 7C 80 23 78 04 6B 8F 64 7C 63 00 AE 04 0A F6 18 54 60 08 3C 04 0A F6 8C 38 84 00 02 04 0A F6 AC 54 63 08 3C 04 0A F6 C0 88 03 00 01 04 0A F6 E8 38 60 FF FF 04 0A F5 9C 38 60 00 0C 06 0B 91 C8 00 00 00 18 BF A1 00 14 7C DF 33 78 7C BE 2B 78 7C 7D 1B 78 2D 05 FF FF 41 8A 00 14 00 6B 92 9C 00 00 00 10 06 6B 99 D8 00 00 00 10 1C 16 0C 15 01 18 2B 2B 2B 2B 2B 20 28 00 23 1A 00 6B 92 A4 00 00 00 24 06 6B 9A 58 00 00 00 24 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 0A 0B 0D 0E 0F 10 11 12 13 14 17 19 1B 1D 1E 1F 21 22 24 25 26 2B 2B 2B 2B 2B 27 06 00 00 00 00 06 40 7A AC 00 00 00 58 01 01 02 02 03 03 04 04 05 05 06 06 07 07 08 08 09 09 33 0A 0B 0B 0C 0C 0D 0D 0E 0E 13 0F 14 10 15 11 16 12 17 13 18 14 19 15 1C 16 1D 17 1E 18 1F 19 20 1A 21 1B 22 1C 23 1D 24 1E 25 1F 29 32 2A 33 2B 34 2C 35 2D 36 2F 37 30 38 31 39 32 3A 2E 3B 00 64 07 07 37 3C
I also updated all the stage icons and portraits for 3.6. Didn't really like the banned stages being grayed out so I nixed that. If anyone wants them I can upload them or just wait for Lunchables and SOJ to add some to the OP.
If anyone is having problems with the font. Conspire...? Contribe...? Uhh. Whatever it's called. You can just use Impact. It's a system font that is almost exactly the same at that resolution. -15 tracking, Force Italics and optical spacing and it's perfect.
The custom CSS logo is at projectm\pf\menu2\sc_selcharacter.pac > sc_selectcharacter_en > MiscData[30] > Textures > CustomCSSIcon
The custom SSS logo is at projectm\pf\menu2\sc_selmap.pac > sc_selmap_en > MiscData[20] > Textures > bg_icon
if you want it where the portraits go (only visible when hovering over a banned stage or the back button)
OR
projectm\pf\menu2\sc_selmap.pac > sc_selmap_en > MiscData[80] > Textures > CustomSSSIcon
if you want it above the stage name (always visible)
The custom portraits and icons are at projectm\pf\menu2\sc_selmap.pac > sc_selmap_en > MiscData[80] > Textures
I would make an addon containing the files but for whatever reason installing addons crashes my system and ruins my SD card so I have no way to test packs.
fml I've been working on making my own update to the stagelist pack for the past few hours...idk why I didn't check here first lol. I'll prob finish it anyways and post so the people have different options. So I went though and did it myself.

In the source folder you will find a Icon.psd and a portrait.psd. These contain the icons and portraits from 3.6b plus all the overlays you need. You can use this file to generate your own customised SSS icons and portraits. I also included overlays for doubles only stage icons.
Enjoy!
I'm having the same issue with the arrangement of the stages, does it actually work for some people? Going to give up for now anyway.
I've been using this http://www.lakora.us/brawl/ssseditor/ for my build within 3.6b, and it's pretty simple. Mess around with a bit, and then let us know if you're still having issues with something specific.Any chance I can get info on how to do this on 3.6b?
We all know this one, but it's missing MenStageSwitch.XX (random stage switches) and MenCollReplaySt.XX (replay stage portraits).projectm / pf / menu2 / sc_selmap.pac
> MiscData[80]
> MenSelmapIcon.XX (stage icons)
> MenSelchrMark.XX (character series mark, behind the stage name)
> MenSelmapFrontStname.XX (stage names)
> MenSelmapMark.XX (game-of-origin mark, left of the ASL portrait)
> MenSelmapPrevbase.XX (stage portrait)
So...this .pac just seems to be a dump for duplicate menu graphics, which includes some things I want and some I don't. It's only missing MenCollReplaySt.XX, which would be a minor sacrifice. But looking through the content of MenuMain_en and MenuRule_en, I realized that...with all the incomplete collections of dupe files I was finding, maybe replacing the stage files here wouldn't actually change anything? Like maybe this is some sort of archive for who knows why, and PM would only end up reading the originals from other locations. Plus, mu_menumain.pac is HUGE compared to sc_selmap.pac lol.projectm / pf / menu2 / mu_menumain.pac
> MiscData[0] contains duplicates of sc_selmap.pac > MiscData[80] content.
> MenuMain_en contains TONS of menu textures and models I don't need.
> MenuRule_en
> ModelData[0]
> MenSelmapIcon.XX already included in MiscData[0]...why?
> MenStageSwitch.XX (random stage switches)
Is it just me or are 1-7 and 15-21 the only values for the number of stages on the first page that seem work properly in 3.6b? If i'm wrong please enlighten me how to get 3.6b to properly display a 10 stage selection screen without having to zero out an entire line with the practice stage.
Anyone figure out how to get an 11 stage SSS to look nice and not have crazy alignment issues? I haven't really had the time to test it out, and was hoping someone figured out what is the issue is with alignment between 7 and 14 stages.
Use this http://www.mediafire.com/download/2ci2cq53wyh0l30/sc_selmap.pac instead of the default one inside the release (this is for 3.6.0). It should support SSS sizes of 10-21. Just edit it however you like. (Custom rules, stage icons, etc) It's got my local tourney's 10 stages on it already.I'm having the same issue with the arrangement of the stages, does it actually work for some people? Going to give up for now anyway.

You updated the text, but not the actual link. It still redirects to the DB link, and not MediaFire. The old link is still broken, yes. I updated the original post to a mediafire link though that does work.
If you're talking about 3.6, no. The Common5.pac isn't used for the stage data anymore. So do we just replace that Common5.pac with the existing one in the build? Will it ruin any custom build stuff thats already been added?
That's something that you could easily change yourself within the files already. Just swap the file names for both the stages .pac and .rel and then create new images for the sc_selmap.pac (and other necessary files with the same images) to switch out with the old ones.Is it possible to also include code to switch which stage is the default on the slots with 2 stages?
e.g Making new BF standard over Brawl's
Right, I was just wondering if that could be integrated into the program by default. That's something that you could easily change yourself within the files already. Just swap the file names for both the stages .pac and .rel and then create new images for the sc_selmap.pac (and other necessary files with the same images) to switch out with the old ones.
Even if a code were to be made that switched the main stage with it's alt, you'd still have to change the images within those .pacs anyways to reflect the changes.
correctThis sounds super useful and a way more efficient way of doing things, thanks for putting it out!
Just checking if I'm reading correctly, you open up your current codeset, edit it as a text file, and then reconvert it with the codes that the program put out, right? Meaning you can use this even if you've already got some custom codes?
Can you show me the codes it's giving you?
