I respect your opinion duder but I think he would be a solid character without the move being able to be jumped out of, in fact I think it would be a more interesting move if it took a page from guilty gears book and made it like order sol's gun blaze, which if you're unfamiliar with the move, he slides by his opponent (I think it has a couple inv frames) leaving a pillar of flame that pops them up and allows for a combo. The way I see it working for ike is the move could have faster start up and have a couple frames of heavy armor to help relieve pressure against weak attacks and projectiles, inv frames would make it a bit too easy to abuse, then he could do 1 of 3 things, 1) nothing and just zip past someone, 2) do the standard frontal sword swipe he has now with b, 3) with hitting a he could zip past someone and do a gunblaze esq move, resembling that small hitbox behind him in his fully charged quick draw. This would help with his inability to deal with pressure to a point, and it would also give him a more interesting way to set up combos as opposed to him being able to do wacky stuff like zip to you with a jc grab.

I think wall jumping with it is fine, but it should only be once lol. Its not really completely broken in its current state, but its pushing it, and sorry for the wall of text about ike, I don't wanna cause drama.
I dunno, the purpose of gun blaze is for its cross up feature. Don't see how that can be applied very much to a smash game.

The thing about ike is, he is pretty vulnerable if he whiffs aerials. He doesn't have very good air velocity to make up for it. He can however use QD as a way to re-position himself quickly and apply a layer of mixup so he isn't as one-dimensional about his approach.

To give my 1/2 of a cent, I personally think that it's entertaining to watch Ike's QD shenanigans and that to remove them would make Ike a slower, less effective and less fun character to watch. I don't see how they really break the character at all- obviously Hbox found a way around them at FC. To paraphrase a tennis coach at a tournament my team was at, quit *****ing and just play smash.

so i got sick of gecko or whatever it's called and decided to install riivolution. now i'm gonna install project m but before i do, what does the riivolution folder do? it has a projectm.xml in it. do i just put it on the root of my sd card?

edit: i figured it out thanks anyways (:

Also, Zelda does = prime rib. :cool:

I actually wasn't aware of this. I always felt like the sweakspot was really underpowered, particularly by Melee standards. I guess I'm just crazy.

How can you even tell which character is which? They all just look like horses sort of.

Like Fox and Falco, one's a bird, the other is a mammal, two clearly different things with different coloured lasers to pew pew even. Or even like 2 Stupid Dogs; they're clearly two very different dog breeds with different line styles put into them to differentiate their qualities on an aesthetic level.

The power of Pewpewpewpew is grossly underestimated.

If by "ledgejanking" you mean FSmash/Eruption/DTilt, I tried to keep that to a minimum because it's not really entertaining to watch. Thanks though :).
you should just play to win insteadd of trying to entertain people by walking to the eddge, turning around, SHing back, grabbing the ledge, and bbairing every single time

I played some matches with my brother today after some Melee fun.

Bowser is still great, and I'm starting to get the hang of the Link/Toon Link AGT bomb jumps.

Hey Daz how can I get into the pmbr when playing video games for money is illegal in my state and the nearest other state is 4 hours away and is Wisconsin and I can't drive and my roommate stopped playing games? Teach me your Canadian methods.
