I give Tom Nook an 80% chance of appearing. Animal Crossing has become one of Nintendo's bigger franchises in the past few years, with the fourth installment coming to the Wii soon, and a feature film having been released in Japan late last year. As such, I think it not possible for there not to be a fair amount of AC rep in Brawl. And who better to be that rep than Tom Nook, the cheerful slum lord who's been at the center of the franchise the whole way.

As for Tom Nook:

I'm personally not a fan of Animal Crossing, I think the game is boring as hell. But that's my opinion, as otherwise standing, Tom Nook is a popular Nintendo character from a rising franchise, and he's a possibility.. Sooo, a fair 50%.

Let's face it, we all know animal crossing will get rep in some way, and a character isn't that far out of the question. Granted it isn't the easiest game to pull a moveset out of, but you could say the same about F-zero. I'd say overall he has a pretty good chance.

You should be able to tell that I REALLY like Rayman. I think that moveset fits him, most moves are taken from his games, a couple just made up.

Ferro, if I come accross as impatient, it's just cause I REALLY want to see how Rayman does.

I like Rayman, and I think he is at least in the top 25 or 30 most desired characters. Like hemightbegiant post before mine, I'm bias and want him, except i give him a 65%chance for SSBB. After Sonic and Megaman, he's probably the most desired 3rd party character. Plus he's awsome!

Namco's been buddies with Nintendo for a while now, Pac-Man's there mascot, he is one of the most iconic video game characters there is, his game is extremley popular, the Pac-Man World games show he can have a move set, Miyamoto loves him, and he's had a few games on Nintendo systems too. So that's why I don't think Rayman should be in before him, happy?

not the move set itself, but the physics behind the character could be confusing. to the untrained eye, playing rayman could be confusing because it would look like hands and feet going flailing around all over the place. sakurai could make it look good if rayman got in though.

Ooh, Rayman... that IS indeed a tricky one. There are 3rd parties that have better chances than he does (MM, Sonic, Geno, an Atlus rep maybe?, etc.).

However, his Wii title, popularity, a good relationship with Nintendo, and his wackiness gives him endless possibilities for a moveset.
