Tingle is a much better option than about 3/4 of the Zelda recommendations I've heard.

Shouldn't Tetra be considered less likely than Vaati?
Tetra appeared twice (not counting WWHD, and a mention in Spirit Tracks.)
While Vaati appeared 3 times (not counting FS Anniversary Edition).
Plus Tetra is technically Zelda, while Vaati is a whole new entity to the franchise.

I don't want to start any Fire Emblem debates, but I highly doubt Robin. If he is ideal for you, more power to you.
Tetra seems unlikely as he was going to add Toon Zelda with Toon Sheik (as opposed to Tetra). However, it seems like a rational choice. Perhaps that is the most suitable way to add another Zelda on to the roster. I mean 3 Zelda is better than 4 Zelda (for diversity's sake).
Other than that, it seems like a really coherent roster. I mean no one can truly agree on which is the most adequate Fire Emblem rep, so I can't complain there. Tetra has some of Sakurai's implied intent going for her. So the negatives (imo) are negligible.

...What? Not on the scale of Vaati? If you mean Vaati isn't nearly as important then yeah.
No matter if Vaati appeared in that one flop of a game that happened to not be made by Capcom, the character himself was still made by Capcom. This is a bad case of Waluigi syndrome, Miyamoto didn't make the character so he'll never end up important or in any of the big main series games. So like Waluigi, the best he could get is assist trophy, if even that.
This isn't personal bias, this is Miyamoto's bias. Hell, this is pretty much the reason the Kremlings have all but died off. Regardless of the fact that Sakurai makes Smash, he won't pick low profile characters that aren't born pure Nintendo.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I have a feeling Isaac will probably become an assist trophy again like in Brawl and that no Golden Sun character will be on the roster.

I didn't know this, in that case; I suppose Tingle is the Legend of Zelda representative that I find most undoubtedly feasible. Capcom made Vaati, why I never!

The only Apex stream I'm able to watch is the SSF2 stream... in low quality.

I tried doing that with EVO but it was the actual stream that was recorded so the YouTube video showed all the buffering as well.

This is also precisely how I feel. I mean, it just seems entirely obvious to me that Chrom is going to be the most likely candidate. I am not even sure why some people are deluding themselves into thinking that it will be Robin. I mean, sure, Robin would be more interesting, but I don't necessarily see how that correlates to his overall likelihood. I see the association between the more broad move-set potential and how that would be great for Sakurai to develop a unique move-set. That is about it though, it doesn't mean he will pick the candidate with the more ideal potential. He is going to pick the main character and make it work, or stick with our boy, Roy. IMO.
