Ugh. My condolences.

In early 2012, my laptop's CPU would get around 110C and start overheating, causing the computer to shut down automatically. So I used a backup drive system (Acronis) to back up some files just in case something happened.

Overnight, the computer overheated again and shut off while Acronis was backing up the files, and well, it ****ed over the hard drive a lot, and the Acronis system. The computer was fixed, but many files were lost...
Acronis still doesn't work anymore, but thankfully I got an external hard drive for Christmas and it's a lot easier to use.

The worst part is that Smash Video I spent hours working on is no longer existen in my own files. It's on YouTube, but I can no longer edit it for the next roster!

Does somebody already thought of an original Smash Bros character ?

Everybody knows that the "mascott" and the villain of Smash Bros is the Crazy Hand (? not sure of his english name), and it would be so cool to know more about him. Tabuu was seriously lame, so a story based on the origin of the Crazy Hand would be really cool.
That's why I was thinking of an entirely new Smash Bros character : the Crazy Hand (in human form, with the hand as a final smash). I remember when I was younger, thinking that the hand was Mario/Mickey Mouse/*Insert any other character with a glove here*'s hand. With that, Sakurai would kill four birds with one store : adding an original character, who is story-related, a villain, and that no one would ever expect.

What do you guys think ?

Nah, I don't like the idea of a Smash Bros original character. Especially not that weird "Crazy Hand in human form" thing.

Maybe instead of just listen them, we should give justifications for them so we can actually turn this into a discussion.

Let me explain my logic.

I'm every past Nintendo Direct, nintendo has been making Reggie jokes 24/7.
There has even been that Reggie Smash Bros petition someone made.

Both Reggie and Sakurai are aware of the petition, and have been hinting at Reggie's appearence.
Reggie said that Sakurai will consider him if the petition gets 100,000 signatures (I am guessing that Salurai said this number because he knew it would reach that before launch, and he wanted to lure people off track to think he wouldn't add him).
At the VGX when asked about the Smash Bros thing, Reggie said to keep signing the petition and we'll see what Sakurai says.

It is also interesting to note that the only characters Sakurai said he would consider is Mewtwo (the only newcomer/Melee return I am 99% positive will get in) and Reggie.

If that's not hinting, I don't know what is.

First of all, Sakurai has never acknowledged the Reggie petition. Reggie said Sakurai "might" consider it if it reaches 100,000 signatures. And then at VGX when he asked about that number he said "we'll see what it needs to be for Mr. Sakurai to really consider it". He has never stated that "Sakurai said..." or anything. Sakurai might not even know about the whole thing.

Second, you should realize that all this meme-spouting Nintendo is doing is marketing. That's all it is. You've seen those 3D World memes that they put up on twitter to advertise, right ?


That's what the Reggie jokes are, basically. They give Nintendo publicity.

Third, putting a real life person in a video game is ******** and would cause problems.

You know Reggie is Nintendo of America, right? Why would Sakurai do something completely foreign to the East?

The fact that it is marketing just proves my point even more.
They would out Reggie in to advertise, and when some little 10 year old buys Smash 4, they say "WHO IS DA BOODY IS WEDDY GOI?!?!?"
And the look him up and read Nintendo things.

Only to tell people, like it or not, Mii is gonna happen. It appeared in way too many stuff to don't. It's a shoe-in, so let's all learn to live with it.
