I dunno, I was just responding to your post. Also, Kirby being a baby is anime canon. We don't know how old Kirby is or if he's not full-grown or not, or even if he's alien to Popstar.

Losing doesn't equal dying. If Kirby were fighting someone who was hypothetically so strong that he couldn't deal any sort of damage, he would eventually give up, regardless of whether or not said opponent could kill Kirby.
It should be obvious that kirby isn't fully grown.... even in game canon.

Wasn't this a fight to the death?

...this is the dumbest argument I've ever participated in.

Low blow, bro...
You started it genius.

Have you played any Zelda games ever? They repeat it over and over. More importantly, only the Master Sword can reflect the power of the Triforce and only Link can wield it
nope I have only watched my brother play them and I never saw them say he would be omnipotent it usually just says he will control Hyrule or something

Ganondorf's not omnipotent from what I understand, he's extremely resourceful and clever though.

It's a little late out here right now, so I don't know if I can do it tonight. Do you perhaps have an open day that isn't Thursday or Friday? I have college on said days. :p
Oh sorry, I can be on either of those days.

What? If it wasn't a video game and people were at their true power who would win? Is that what's happening right now?

Well, by official Canon Kirby is what, 4 inches tall? 6? I'm not super 'up' on my Kirby, but I fail to see how Ganon could get hurt, or even inconvenienced. Even if you can't kill him (?) you can just bury him under a mountain and call it a night. Kirby might get out again in a few years, but Ganon will in theory be kicking around and able to huck another few rocks his way.

Mewtwo Vs. Ganon is interesting; we know Ganon can be stunned by applying damage to the tail, and Mewtwo's psychic powers essentially allow him to hit everywhere, so he can stun Ganon. Probably enough to keep him from moving long enough to teleport him to the far reaches of space. I mean, he's not dead but he's essentially gone. Even if by a miracle his path through space puts him back on earth, Mewtwo does it again, so...?

Sonic Vs. Mewtwo? Depends on how fast you let Sonic be. If Sonic is truly allowed to move at the speed of the instruction manual claim, he can buzz-saw Mewtwo before Mewtwo is even aware of him. Not sure how Sonic beats Ganon tho. I think I'll put my money on Mewtwo; in game Sonic is not actually that fast.

Hmm...

So I've seen a lot of people here who claim Chrom has bad odds and I must confess myself confused; why do people think this? He seems reasonably popular.

Yeah, Mewtwo is invincible...

and I also have a little present for him:

Seems Josh Bones isn't the only one who doesn't comprehend that in game =/= Full-out battle with no limitations. Regardless, Bandana Dee would still be a smear on the wall. Ever seen Hellsing Ultimate Episode 8? Picture something like that. :p

Low blow, bro...
Did I also mention Mewtwo's an @$$hole? Because it's an @$$hole who generally doesn't care as long as its opponents are in the ground. :p

Mewtwo's psychic, he'd know that Sonic was coming and would predict his moves before he made it, seeing as since he can brainwash minds, he can probably read them too. He'd know Sonic's move beforehand, stop him mid-spin, and probably crush every bone in his body as he then dies from the pressure causing his internal organs to rupture.

We don't know that Mewtwo's control can penetrate the suit. Mewtwo has also never brainwashed anyone, so we don't know that it's even one of his abilities.

For that matter, Samus's will is also very strong. She likely wouldn't be an easy target for such brainwashing, even if it was a thing. We're missing a huge element in the battle between Mewtwo and Samus in that we don't know what kind of measures the suit has to combat telekinetic powers because she's never fought anyone with them.

Basically a lot of people think he has no moveset potential aside from being a clone, and they believe that that is the only possible outcome because they have no imagination.

That's at least a majority. Not everybody.

I was more referring to the fact that you brought up...that.

We have more instances of Samus whooping Ridley's ass with no trouble than we do of her throwing a whiny crybaby fit about it first, so I don't think Other M's depiction holds up when judging how Samus would react to him in a real situation.

Ganon would not allow Mewtwo to launch him into space. He would use his powerful magic to turn Mewtwo into jelly

Well then. That's lame, and I shall choose to disagree with those people.

Well, I just don't know how to respond to this. If he could turn people to jelly, why doesn't he do that in his games?

But physic power cannot hit dark types. Ganon is pure evil. I think Ganon cannot be touched by Mewtwo.

People don't seem to understand that said scene made sense in many ways. Other M is the game that takes place after Super Metroid, and in this game, Ridley is killed by Samus. You think you've defeated your arch-enemy, he's gone for good, so of course you're going to freak the **** out when you see him come back, and not to mention the overall location brought back the possible memories of how her home was burned to the ground, destroyed by Ridley and his Space Pirates, which led to that one part where you see her as a little girl which is shown as a recollection of the events of her past. it makes sense, as stupid as it is, it makes sense. However, the whole "Not using a weapon until the man tells you to" is indeed bull plop.

Sums up the whole "characterization" thing.
Just because we see Samus freeze up over Ridley in Other M prior to the fight doesn't mean her "character" was butchered. She still beats him half to death.

Let's not get carried away with the off-topic chatter and the image/video spam.
In that case, let me start on something new for you to talk about.

Ganon's goal is to rule over Hyrule not destroy it. He always loses in the end because of the Great Cataclysm, a hero always rises. Link acts as a Deus Ex Machina, a plot device to resolve an otherwise impossible story sequence such as the omnipotent Ganon, this way the story can end happily

Possibly, but there lies another problem: Where is that implied within the game itself? We don't get that heads up, no one says it and the closest implication is Samus crying like a little girl which... isn't exactly the best explanation. The scene's problem is that it's doesn't take the care to explain their relationship and because of that the audience is left scratching their head unless they read a really obscure manga that's available to only the Japanese.

People don't seem to understand that said scene made sense in many ways. Other M is the game that takes place after Super Metroid, and in this game, Ridley is killed by Samus.
Ridley is also "killed" by Samus in the first Metroid, he straight-up disintegrates. Then again in the first Prime, where he falls into the Impact Crater while being shot by like six lasers, then explodes. He is "killed for good" again in Prime 3, where Samus watches him melt into ooze right in front of him. Then again in Super Metroid, where he, again, falls apart like he was made of paper mache.

It didn't make sense. Samus has "permanently killed" Ridley in every game he's appeared in. Never once has he just flown off. She should be expecting him to come back at this point, and it makes no sense that this random time of him returning made her lose her ****. It wasn't good writing, it wasn't an emotional moment, it was just Sakamoto trying to elicit an emotional reaction from an audience by giving Samus some out of character reaction to her main nemesis, without explaining what made this particular instance any different from the last six times he'd come back from the dead.

Sums up the whole "characterization" thing.
Just because we see Samus freeze up over Ridley in Other M prior to the fight doesn't mean her "character" was butchered. She still beats him half to death.
Say Mario, out of nowhere, freaks out when Bowser kidnaps the Princess in the next Mario. He has a serious mental breakdown because of it, even though it has literally happened a million times.

Shigeru (Sakamoto) then says, "This is the Mario we wanted all along! You know that happy-go-lucky, unstoppable plumber you've known and loved for so long? He's actually just a sniveling crybaby, and that's how he was supposed to be all along!". Mario, of course, still stops Bowser because that's how games work.

The same exact thing happened to Samus, and it pisses me off. The entire game took a huge **** on an already-established character because "Samus didn't have a voice, which means she has no personality", which is bull****. Retro did a better job of portraying Samus within the last ten minutes of Prime 2 than Other M did for the entire game.

Well I surely hope we can get a new topic. However, I must leave you all to hopefully complete Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.
