Still didn't convince me.

Wanting to make a game so that it can please the most people , thus getting more money for making it is true capitalism.

This whole thread is nothing but false illusions about communism.
It's not a false illusion at all. His mindset when it came to the gameplay of Smash Bros was similar to communism. I think I proved that quite well.

So Capitalism is just Communism with "...and then we make money." added to the end of it?

Whatever makes you feel good at night, debater.
Stop talking down to me.

I'm not trying to make myself feel good at night, I wouldn't think that at all if I didn't feel there to be evidence that it's true. If you don't want to agree, fine. Don't talk down to me because you disagree.

I do think the one talking down to someone is you, debater.

Put like that, no, not really. Because he knows a lot of people don't really care about winning (Not a lot of people already owning a Wii that is), He knows that making Brawl with the mindset of ''Everybody should be able to win'' that it's gonna sell better, and thus he gets more money.

Simple, yet effective capitalism.

Because your flaming may potentially cause the locking of my thread, I request that you go take a hike.

Explain to me exactly how I'm talking down to you. You're calling me 'debater', which I take as a negative connotation saying "Don't know how you got this title because you're clearly not worthy of it, since you think this." Also, you're the one implying that what I think is wrong. I told you to think whatever you want to think.

At first I tried explaining it to you, because you sounded like you didn't understand what communism was or...something. You phrased it like "I don't see the connection", not "There is no connection, this is in fact the opposite." Then I believe I gave up, because clearly your opinion differs from mine and I'm not going to tell you it's wrong. And if the same reasoning that brings me to think what I think doesn't bring you over, I have nothing else to say to you anyways. We simply do not agree.

Sum up?

Don't call me debater.
You can think whatever you want to think.
Let me think whatever I want to think without patronizing me.

Like you are...?
Whatever. Call me 'debater' all you want, if it really makes you feel good.

The overlying purpose of what he's doing is capitalist. However, the underlying pieces that make up Brawl are very similar to communism. In a strictly gaming community sense, he's trying to evenly distribute the "wealth", or skill, regardless of effort put in. He also has it set up so that kids, parents, teenagers, old people, whoever, are all on the same playing field. Tripping, items, stage hazards, etc. are all accidents occurring so that one person may have more skill than another, but trip into a forward Smash Attack and get killed, evening the odds.

I thought that's what you were saying.

I was never saying that the marketing part was communism...only the gaming part.

I was saying Sakurai is a capitalist because he's making the game to make money, not that he wasn't making the game thinking like a communist would do.

Just 'scuse me for the debater problem...

And don't tell it to Peachy. Pleeeease don't tell it to him.

he added an element of randomness to brawl to prevent anyone from dominating entirely; there is always a chance you might trip. He did this as a feeble attempt to even the playing field amoungst all smashers, regarless of skill.

He did this because he thinks losing makes you sad. He dreams of a world without losing, so that everybody wins. This is impossible--you cannot win unless you can also lose. He wanted a world without Kitsch.

This is a very communist stance

Communism is where everyone should lose not win.
