Hey guys you now how Lucas can do this? http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=-Fw9qs-EZg8 (watch how he uses PK Fire) I just recently found out (like 10 minutes ago)that Toon Link can use his boomerangs and arrows (arrows are much harder though, you can pull of an arrow cancel if done right only did this once.) like this too, its quite reliable as a mindgame and a great spacer if they did something you weren't expecting.

(Now if i could just figure out how the hell to do this everytime I would be set).

What are you thoughts on this?

hes talking about the boost from pk fire. other chars can manually do this i think by haveing bstick on its a lot easier. this is not new but good find noe the less.

Quite old, B-sticking has been around forever.

If you're talking about toon link the most he can do is just turn around while shooting with a barely noticeable boost.

Or shda

You CAN do it, but its mostly mindgames. And hard without B-sticking.
I might bee confusing it with B-reversal or whatever though.
For arrows it actually sends you a reasonably fair distance. But only shoots one arrow. =)

I actually do this sometimes with toon link. For the boomerang i do it mostly retreating. However, i like approaching with the arrow. The wave bounce is kinda nice. At low%s u can wave bounce arrow right up to them and then like jab or up tilt. Its pretty solid especially if they are just above the ground when the arrow hits so it they are unable to dodge or shield. On heavy characters it could lead into a nice combo.

Yeah I know b-sticking is old, but I play with wiimote and nunchuk, hence no b-sticking.

It isn't as hard as you think, I'm not sure of the proper method but I seem to be doing a RAR, throwing the boomerang or b-reversing a SHDA ( this is hard, I`ve only done this once ) while bouncing back.

EDIT: Hey if I can get a replay of me doing it can someone record it for me? Sadly I don`t have any means of recording

it's weird timing, but basically you run in a direction, jump, shoot an arrow/simultaneously return control stick to neutral (center), then quickly push it in the initial direction you were going, and finally shoot the cancelled arrow. this is hard to do consistently

i've also found you can push the control stick in the opposite direction after the first arrow. it'll turn you around shortly after the jump but keep your dashing momentum. this one is a bit easier, but doesnt seem terribly useful unless you use it as a trick
