Yes, but he was arguing about priorities, and this shows that they have equal priority when Lucario doesn't abuse his spacing -_-
Priority in the air doesn't really exist I thought. It's all range, I'm pretty sure any attack can trade hits with any other attack (as long as it isn't ground vs ground) given a certain timing and spacing.

When I say that Luigi's aerial priority ***** Wario I mean the hitboxes around his attacks are just bigger than Wario's. 'Real"(grounded) priority doesn't come into play here.

A smart pit wont let invincibility ware off if you are tht close, GL trying to hog the edge through a uair or a ledge poked fair followed by an upb sweetspot. yea the DJ thing works but it doesnt get you anywhere. As for the shield my suggestion is the make sure that you aim it down cause uair likes shields, second favorite food iirc. and tehn again you cant punish it the pit did it right. ub sweetspot is too fast.
Everytime I have played this match-up, and I lost most to LeoFTW cause he is a beast. I found that pit racks up damage faster than wario, therefore closing your gap with low% killing power. Warios KO potential is still slightly better.

Anther having the same idea as me is good enough.

Pits Horizontal speed is equal to CFs run speed so try to keep up with that, and changing vertical height means changing spacing, who ever said I would even try to glair your uair. 70% of the time when someone goes head on to my glide I try to avoid I because I know they know they have a move that can possibly beat it, so I go risk free and reset the momentum.

If you hit Pit out, jump out towards him, and he decides to glide, well there's a good chance he will get hit. He has to travel a certain distance downwards before he can go back upwards or he will fall out of the glide. It's really not that hard to hit him if he tries to glide, it's harder to peg him if he just uses his DJ's and his Upb to avoid you.

Also Ace, I just quote in color whenever I have more than one quote that takes up some room (and whenever my responses are equally big) just to help people tell the difference between them.

Lol at Wario's killing power beeing 'slightly' better.
I said potential not power, read better. Pit gets wario to kill percent (for pit) slightly later than Wario gets pit to kill percent. I never mentioned anything about power.
Anther having the same idea as me is good enough.
Was he talking about MK or Pit or other edgecampers? Cause Pit edge game is quite a bit different than anyone else's edge game. If it was about Pit would you kindly link me to that post so I can tell anther he is wrong, or you are misinterpreting it. :)

And who said its bad that we come out of our glide from there we can airdodge, which is safe becasue you we know you are going to uair. or we can dair which is dumb but its range has suprised me as well as a mix up. or possibly a FF bair to hit you with the weak part of it which seems to have broken range on it.

Also since when do pits start a glide when you are right next to them? When we are offstage I highly doubt you can close the gap fast enough to prevent us from gaining momentum.

Guys, have you not seen Wario's Fair or Bair clank with MK's glide attack? Both sides don't get hurt, attack animations finish the same from what I can tell, but they do clank. This can happen to Pit's glide attack too.

Tö be honest I always get the hell out of the way of MK glide attack so I havn't observed this. Maybe glide attacks perform differently when interacting another hitbox than normal aerials. I would like to see some testing on that. If they really clanked like on the ground both the animations would stop once they hit each other, so that isn't it. Maybe the hitboxes cancel each other out, but it seems pretty weird (especially if it's 3 o clock and you've drunk to many beers).

MK's glide attack clanks with everything, lol.

Pit has a lot of priority on all of his attacks though, so I definitely wouldn't be surprised if it harbors more priority than MK's.

Not siding with either case, but Pit's glide is faster and he has better aerial mobility in general than MK. This whole thing was sparked by whether Wario could clank with Pit's glide and then continue to fair him offstage..which is untrue.

Whether Wario's uair has greater range or what-not I can't comment on.

I have yet to see anything clank with pits glair, if you can show me a vid of anything clanking with it then I will be more likely to believe you. even better show me a vid of fair or bair clanking with it.

I would test be first I dont have a wii, and second I would probably find that it doesn't and tell you then you would have a hissy fit and say that I didnt test right.

Its on your shoulders noe to prove me wrongs. MKs glair has little priority.

U sure are wanting to prove us wrong

We wouldn't have a hissy fit, it's a small detail in the big scheme of things, it's more like a useful tip to know.

Well I want to know the truth and so do you, we are at a disagreement on the truth. I main pit and have never seen anything clank with his glide attack. you on the other hand main wario, and may have seen fair clank with pits glair, i have no idea.

I want others to know the truth too, so the metagame can get further. if you prove me wrong then I will openly admit to being wrong, but as of now I highly doubt you are right.

So if your useful tip turns out to be wrong then it will not only not help other warios but it may very will get them killed. So i say to you other wario mains to go test if fair or bair will clank with pits glair and make the judement yourself.

Lol ok... It won't really evolve the metagame, but it is something interesting I guess.

Shell needs to return, I wanna talk to him about doing Bowser Ditto's haha.

true it wont make the metagame progress but that wasnt my main point.

nice red herring btw, made me lol

So, I still say 50:50 on this match-up, and this is one of the few match-ups that I firmly believe that I am 100% right on.

D*mn it. To be honest I just wanted an excuse to post that pic. I just like it.
I hate it, I am DMG so obey me!

Jk, but my friend who mains Wario down the street has that as his AiB avatar, and it pisses me off for some reason. I'm not gonna lie, if Futile himself had that as his pic, I would have a talk to him about it lol.

I always thought sHell's guide was missing a fan art or a Wario "gallery" that we could submit cool pictures in even if they weren't related to Brawl but still to Wario.

Well I was thinking about using at as an avatar, but I'll just stick with my jamaica peace Wario.

That would be awesome, not that I have anything to submit, but still awesome.

All I know is that FZeroX owned Ace XD
Yes he did. But I still think he's wrong about Pit.

Shhh! Don't let on! Wario is so good. Definately my favourite character. I didn't think so at first, but now it's just disappointing not using him. He's very powerful and has great recovery.

Pity my brother and best friend both main DDD....

Falco, Watch, Yoshi, and D3 ain't so bad if you know what you're doing.

Marth SUCKS ***, imo the hardest matchup for Wario by far (if they know how to play vs Wario), followed by an MK that knows how to abuse his character :\

I can play against MK.
Marth is the worst though.

I already have Luigi as a secondary, so I just use him against Yoshi to have an easier time.

I really, REALLY need a secondary that does better against Marth.
I've been working on my ROB, but he's pretty terrible.

We can play against good --> bad MKs, but Wario stands close to no chance against great ones.

I'm picking up snake for marths

I'm still skeptical. I suck with D3 though, so I can't test it, nor am I going to tell any Texas D3s about it, lol. If it is, then yeah, D3 would go back to our worst again :\

It might be avoidable but D3 is still our worst matchup times 100. Marth is 2 easy to gimp lol.

Oo, I have Snake troubles tooo. 2 new Snakes started showing up at our tournies and they're cleaning upp. Its just that you get punished soo much for the mistakes you may make. **** his high damage/knockback/retarted range/grenades/GHWAAA.

LOL! The first time I faced a Snake, I attempted to gimp him by bitting...him. Lol, I forgot that I had to bite the cypher and not Snake himself. I was so shocked to see him cypher again.

Well anyway, I came here with a question. You think its legal/smart to set a timer on your phone to go off every 55 seconds or so?? I just always forget that I have the half-waft and end up not using it.

You can do it if it's on silent or something, if it beeps all the time though it could disrupt your opponents.

Also, any Wario that thinks Marth is gimpable seriously needs to face off against OmegaXF, be it online or in person.

They grab and hold you, then you jump break and are vulnerable for a long time, letting them do pretty much anything they want to you.

For some wierd reason I'm better with Wario than my Captain Falcon! :chuckle: talk about Secondary over Primary, sheesh... I don't regret it though. Nice thread by the way, I like the down throw to Fsmash (always gets them). Not always but yeah......

Wario's FThrow is very useful on MarioKart stage because of the 'out of bounds range' for a instant KO, but you need some grabing skill to pull this of often.
