It's funny how when the stage builder was revealed, a lot of people includung myself were really excited over how much better it appeared to be. And in some ways it is.

But I actually prefer Brawl's..
I've gotten used to the new stage builder, and like the ability to make platforms of any shape, but I do wish some of the old things from Brawl stayed, like the ladders and conveyor belts.

My hands shake a lot, just randomly. So it makes the new builder pretty difficult for me.

I need evidence of excitement to fuel my sadism. :4dk:

I usually make blocky stages using the grid. I can't draw freehand very well either.
Even the grid doesn't work for me. Which is why I prefer the drag and drop nature of Brawl.

In normal activity, the tremors or whatever don't really get noticed. But when I have to be precise like in the stage builder, it is tough.

Well, these are my most missed stages from each game that have yet to return:

64:
Saffron City (everyone loves it)
Planet Zebes (enjoyed the music and the acid was a serious threat back then)
Mushroom Kingdom (nice warp pipe gimmick)

Melee:
Princess Peach's Castle (prefer it over the N64 version)
Great Bay (was hoping the leak would be true)
Fourside (excellent music and nice looking)
Poké Floats (just hope Chansey doesn't kill you :113:)

Brawl:
Shadow Moses Island (I really miss it)
Spear Pillar (nice memories of playing in it)

We will probably know the full contents of the update in a few hours (and still the 30th for me), considering the timezone difference, as well as that guy on twitter who is likely going to dive into the update files before release.

I never understood the appeal for King K Rool. Am I missing something?
I'm just saying, if he does come back, it's likely he'll just be another heavy, low-tier fighter.

Does it really matter if he's low tier?
If heavy fighters are your thing, then K.Rool is your guy. It's not all competitive players, some just want to play casually and they happen to like how K.Rool plays out. If they like his gimmick, they like his gimmick. If you don't, then don't buy him unless you're doing it for completion (like me).
More useless Mii costumes Hey look, more Mii costumes. :4tlink:
I feel like more people are actually looking foward to buy them this time. :4dk:

This is the one time I'm buying the whole lot. I need the Chrom costume for the wig, K. Rool is lulzy, I love the Flying Man costume, Bear suit can be used to update Pooh, Hoodies are the best, and Lloyd will be great as a joke character.

I should vote more but I don't believe the ballot is as simple and straightforward as many people are assuming. >.>

Good morning.

I see people complaining about dlc that haven't been confirmed and I'm just like:

How're y'all doing? :starman:

I honestly think the ballot is useless and the developers are gonna add whoever they want regardless of ballot "results."

I buy everything for the sake of completion, plus a Chrom vs. Inkling vs. Link Mii will be fun.

I think it's more of a tally than a ballot. A ballot makes it sound like the number one vote will be playable, while a tally makes the top 10 or so more equal, meaning they all have equal chances to be playable (or not).

Have you ever voted before? It's very simple to do.
I have. But I meant...

...that I don't think it is simply going to be "whoever has the most votes automatically becomes a character" like a lot of people on the K. Rool thread and this site in general want to believe.

I have never once felt that it was that simple. I see the ballot mkre as a means to gague general interest in which characters to work on, and just "winning" the ballot won't guarantee them a spot, if Sakurai and his team doesn't wish to use that character or feels that they can't properly implement them, such as he said with Ridley.

That is a much better way to word it than my post. I don't mean to single out the K. Rool thread, because almost every character thread has this, but when I went there yesterday I saw soo many people acting as though he was a lock for being the "number one" vote.

It is more of a tally or a poll than a ballot, as you said.

Also I buy all DLC as well.

Homura confirmed

So why make the ballot then?
Is is truly just a ruse so they can get a head start on Smash 5? :4pacman:
Nah, it's to mess with the little children.

If only the hoodie colors corresponded to the Mii color like some of the original mii costumes do.

Possibly, but the quote from Sakurai wouldn't really correlate with that theory.
"From now until the end, it is going to be fan service, but I can't keep the development team together forever, so there's only going to be several more characters. I also ask for your patience, as we need time to develop more content."

I buy all DLC except the Mii Costumes (unless it's the Muscle outfit from Tomodachi Life) because all my Miis are mostly just my own Mortal Kombat Ninja Miis that I keep.

I need to get an eShop card soon because my balance is only $18 right now. :4dk: It won't last long when the new stuff comes in.
