I'm wondering if Nintendo America is waiting for a bigger international unveiling of something, like an unseen stage or a character, before announcing the update and dlc for tomorrow--I'm having trouble understanding why they haven't yet otherwise....Since, if this update goes live in Japan in the morning like it claims, then North America should have it tonight...unless it's not gonna go live everywhere at the same time.

I posted that link earlier. It's far too much of a coincidence and is certainly fake. The description for the hack is trying to play it like the stage could be real, but there's too many strikes against it.

From Brawl Vault: "Updated my old Dr. Mario stage to be visually similar to the new Wii U (if real) Dr. Mario Stage. Pretty surprised at how similar the two were to begin with!"

I'm different on both counts, honestly.

I'm fine with clones as they don't take long (though admittedly as DLC they might be a bit of a ripoff), but there are plenty of unique characters that I would at least initially feel awkward having (I.E. Geno, Rayman, Bomberman, etc.).

That's just me, though.

Note the lack of resemblance between the two. That is what kills this leak. If they were more similar initially, then maybe I'd buy it, but the aesthetic of the old stage is far too different.

The updated hack is what's used in the screenshots with the virus trophy models being used. Everything lines up. The lines on the pills. The static positions of the viruses (in contrast to how they move in a circle in Dr. Mario), etc.

My problem with this is that it doesn't have the viruses shown in the leak, but that shouldn't be hard to do, I suppose.
And idk, to me it seems all he'd have to do is change some textures, remove a platform, and add the pills, which if he already had the model for, seems like he'd just make as platforms.
It could be a lot harder than I imagine, though.

Nope. But they do have a trophy. Models for the viruses are not hard to come by, nor are they difficult to make. In addition, the hack has the viruses in the background in a static position (like the leak) while in Dr. Mario, they move around. It adds up perfectly.

It's actually quite easy to add/remove platforms for hacked stages if the stage is made a certain way. I can download both versions of the stage to check if the platforms are a separate model from the main platform.

EDIT: The updated stage has 3 different platform arrangements. This indicates that the stage was made in such a way that the platforms can be easily manipulated.
