This was always my thought, as well. Not to mention how gorgeous the model is. I'd imagine some work was done on it before being scrapped for Robin.

Sakurai sounds somewhat as if he'd have put both if he could.

Because it would be impossible to have both characters, he picked Robin since he/she would stand out best from Marth and Ike. Basically, he valued a more diverse cast.

I read up on SG that IntSys and Tomokazu Sugita (Chrom's Japanese voice actor) actually liked the humorous approach Sakurai took to Chrom being out. I'm talking about the tease on the Robin/Lucina trailer and Palutena's Guidance for Robin.

Yep, they enjoyed the sort of light hearted fun-poking, haha. From what I read, the Japanese version was a LOT less harsh though, haha. Still poking fun of course, but the guidance in particular had less "ganging up on Chrom" moments.


I don't believe the whole "Sakurai hates Chrom" thing for a second. Like you said, I fully believe he'd have added both if time and resources allowed for it. Sakurai himself seems to actually respect him, haha. Or at least more so than the localization team. Robin just had more options. Even I can admit to that.

As a fun fact, Tomokazu Sugita also voices Takamaru in this game.

I would like to play Tales of Symphonia. Is it good?

You should play it. It's a very long but very good J-RPG with a story that become more and more good and interseting with the character. Take the PS3 version homewer, it's have content that the Gamecube version doesn't have and it's easier to fine. But just buy it, you won't regret it i swear.

The localization team kinda played up the butt monkey status a bit...

But yeah, Sakurai is somewhat respectful to Chrom. He just chose the best option for roster variety within the resource limitations he had. He can't add an infinite amount of characters, after all.

Sugita is fairly well known among anime fans.

Meh, I'm not too fond of Chrom-nom. Even though he was always a solid lord in my FE playthroughs, he's so damn bland. I'm glad Sakurai went with Robin as the main FE:A character since FE is just more than swords and blue hair.

I am really excited for the new update. I might get the Chrom but i will definitely get the stages and also upload my own matches and host online tournaments ( I still think online needs to be better).

Yeah, that's the thing. Why make a jack of all trades when you can simply make a character specialize with black or white magic (either one of the two)? Their white magic isn't even that good and same can be said for their black magic and melee damage

I feel like magic dps is overshadowed heavily by melee dps in Bravely Default. Ninjas and Pirates are waaaay too good

Ninjas are very solid in rushing most enemies. I'm getting back into BD and I'm glad I made Tiz a Knight since he tanks like a motherlucker.

everything I can

SS has a lot of animations and they are actually a very good quality so what I do is because I don;t want to pay hundreds of dollars to get a capture card installed, I just use the miverse screenshots features to take shot, download them on my pc and use gimp to crop them and stuff (hopefully I can remove the bg on some of them ).

Like right now, i jsut took a shot where he has 2 hands in the air when you heal, stuff like that

It helps a lot to give people visuals when you want to make movesets
