Smash Ball Glitch?

I just had a match going with all items turned off and the smash ball suddenly appeared on screen. Has this happened to anyone else?

What i do is to manually switch all
my items off instead of using the "off" button.

Isn't it possible for characters like Dedede to pull out items? Maybe that's what happened.

Turn all items off and set spawn thing to none. This is the only way to make sure DeDeDe can't throw capsules, and I think this makes sure pity smashes can't happen.

It wasn't a pity final smash, cause the ball actually appeared. I have all times switched to off. I think it currently is set to "None" for how often they drop and "Off" for items on and off. The dedede thing could be possible. He can pull out items? Cause Dedede was fight.

actually, I was playing with all items turned off and something really wierd happened siddenly one of the pieces of the dragoon appeared, but just one of the three in the entire match.

It seems like he pulls them out at about the rate peach pulls items out of the ground using her turnip pull, which is like 5-10% of the time.

was it a wifi match? it it was then its happened to me too. i hosted a game with out any items and my friend left items on and randomly we get items or no items per match.

It's probably because you still left the Smash Ball on. I think I heard somewhere that even if you set your items on "None", and the Smash Ball is still on, then it'll still appear. But I'm not so sure.

I had this happen once, and only once. I thought I had turned everything off and set the frequency to off as well. I checked and I HAD. It was off twice. It still hasn't happened again yet though.

If you have items OFF Dedede cannot pull items. If you have items set to NONE, therefore only banning the random spawning of items and not items in general, then Dedede can pull items. The lesson of this story, turn items OFF.

Hmm... i've witnessed where someone will die with the smash Aura on them.
Then when someone else spawned, They automatically got The smash Aura.
why is that..?
