Amtrak ticket costs 44 bucks one way... so round trip is way too expensive
I'm thinking of going one way to the tournament, then maybe just coming back to campus with someone from my school who lives in glen ellyn. I'll call him to see if he can drive me back.
And if I take Amtrak to chicago, can someone get me to the tourney/give me a place to stay friday night? There are 2 times I could book: one arrives at 1:52 PM, the other arrives at 11:10 PM. The only station is Union Station, so if someone close to there could get me, that would be awesome..

Idk if I want to go to this, but if I do, I better not play someone from wisconsin first round, if I even hear someone suggest that I play mundungu or fruitloop first round, I WILL BE SO PISSED! god, at least the shoryuken peeps have the brains not to have someone from their region face each other, even if they are *******s.
roflll.....u dont want to play anywhere in the tournament, in pools or bracket, is the problem 0_0....thats kinda impossible to make a bracket when theres only like, 25 ppl.....and not screw over someone else just because you want extra consideration -_-/
i coudlsee if we were doin straight bracket....but with pools and seeding, ur asking for us not to seed properly sometimes -_-.

Yeah, you're gonna have to play your friends sometime. If you are in the same pool then you won't play first round. If you don't want to be in the same pool then you risk playing first round. Thats the way things go

milwaukee/madison/minnesota and even chicago with street fighter and umvc3 seeded me correctly everytime. this is not complicated
last 3 times I was asked to play someone against from wisconsin. There were 4 people max from wisconsin all three times and 20 chicago peeps

lolll....no its not easy -_-.....weve ran into this problem again and again when there are like, 20-25 ppl at the tournament....its just too small of a number to not play someone you know in pools andd singles....and ftr, im not just talking 1st round of bracket neccesarily....if sanchez had to play frootloop 2nd round even, i can see a temper tantrum thrown by him -_-.
seeding isnt hard, but when moving seeds around, you screw alot of things up....for the person being moved having to play thier seeds from their own pool eariler then they should.....again, if we went straight bracket, there prolly wouldnt be a problem.
also, for the SF bull, where are these tournaemnts(i assume not big ones?)? cause ive watched and seen how street fighter does there seeds/bracket/pools, and its nothing like how smash does it(this goes for alottt of diff fighters/rts's)....its a completly diff system.
