It's gorgeous. I hope the Van Gogh-inspired level is part of this stage...

The name is stupid.
The stage is awesome.

Best stage name ever.
Just slap a "U" on there.
Anyways, this does seem like a pretty cool stage, and I like how they made it a changing stage without it actually moving.

There still better be a Bowser stage, wether that be Bowser World or the iconic Bowser's Castle.

How so?
I know this is graspin for straws, but what if two new Mario reps is possible? Maybe Rosalina represents the Mario Galaxy series, and Bowser Jr. represents the New Super Mario Bros. series. If Sakurai reveals this stage the week before E3, maybe Bowser Jr. will be revealed.

This stage just looks gorgeous. Even if it doesn't make counterpick, this is going to be a personal favorite of mine for friendly matches.

That would be one heck of a surprise if it does come to pass.

So kinda like a new Pokemon Stadium type of stage?

I'm okay with this.

I'm not okay with not getting to go to E3 D:

Wow, that actually makes sense.
But still, I don't see Bowser Jr. as likely, just due to roster space.

The other problem that I see with your theory is that is Bowser Jr. represents the NSMB series, he couldn't really use his paintbrush, as he only uses that in Sunshine. And since Sakurai likes unique characters, I doubt he would add Bowser Jr. without his paintbrush, as that's really the only special thing he could do. Without his brush, he would basically just be a Toon Link equivalent of Bowser.

This stage looks pretty cool! I'm excited for this stage, and I hope I can play it at Smash-Fest! :)

So the main Mario Bros. stage this time around...fills the niche the Pokemon Stadium stages did? Wonder if this means anything for the Pokemon League stage we've seen in some screenshots...

And even though it's pretty early to call it, I could see this stage at least being counterpick-level. More viable stages is always a good thing.

Well, I think that he could still utilize his brush, even though it hasn't appeared in NSMB. It's a big part of him, so Sakurai would probably use it in some way. And Bowser Jr. is not limited to his brush. He's used tons of gadgets and gizmos in NSMB, and Bowser's minions could even play a part. Bowser Jr. is so lighter and physically weaker than Bowser that it would be unfitting to give him a majority of Bowser's moves.

But that's just assuming he's in the game, which I'm trying to still hope for.

I thought about an idea, why not they make a stage where it switches between battlefield and Final Destination layout. so its a more viable stage when it goes through different layout of the stage for certain characters.

I really hope for a FD version of this Kamek still rides in and changes the look of the stage, but not the properties.
That would make for a really fun FD.

Looks like a nice stage; all i'm wondering is how the transition animation is going to look like (Castle-Siege like perhaps?)

This game lacks a lot of good stages. Most of them that we've seen are just ones that we'll play for fun and move on. This one looks somewhat viable. It's HUGE tho. I hear some people saying counter-pick lol.

What worries me is that we have barely seen any stages from older games. The new game stages are cool and all (Sonic Lost World, NSMBU, SM3DL, etc.), but I want to see the older stages that pay homage to the entire series. So far we only have Balloon Fight, Spirit Train*, Jungle Japes, Mario Galaxy*, Skyloft*, Pyrosphere*, Wily Castle and the Halberd. (*not even old games, just last gen).

EDIT: I just realized that this may be the case because they already have the models for the stages for newer stages. They just have to retouch the ones from Wii and DS. Perhaps we'll see some stages from older games down the line. Hopefully.

It would be so awesome if they replaced the Revival Platforms with flying back into the stage in a bubble.
That's an amazing idea! I always remember how fun it was, when playing the wii version, that you would come back as a bubble! It would be cool too if in team battles the other person on your team, if they were still in the battle would have to pop you! I highly doubt that would happen but it would be cool!

things like that actually bother me tbh... It looks stupid when physics are ignored like that
You mean the same physics that allows characters to drop through seemingly solid platforms?

People will complain about anything...

So there's a Mario Galaxy 1&2 stage AND an NSMB U stage? Thats pretty amazing...along with the Sonic Lost World stage, it seems like Sakurai's getting the most up-to-date stage iterations before this game comes out.

Something else I just thought of: You know how the last couple Smash games have had both a regular Mario stage and at least one other implied to be the "home stage" of one of the characters? Melee had Peach's Castle, and Brawl had Luigi's Mansion...so could that mean there's a Bowser's Castle stage we've yet to see? or did Rosalina already steal that with the Gateway Galaxy stage?

I don't think this will be competitively viable. Those Mario blocks in the first pic look solid; meaning you can probably bounce off the bottom. Like in the ones in Melee.

The second pic has that spiked thing which most likely deals damage, so...I do like the stage though, I feel like I'll be playing on it a lot.

(Being as negative as possible till E3 so I can create perfect hype for myself by postulating worst-case scenarios)
Oh well, there's always Final Destination forms.

That's like the number one reason I'm so hyped for this game. Every stage is good.

Every stage already is good. Jk I know what you mean! ;) but I wish thier was a battlefield version of every stage and/or the final destination form.
