Dr. PP vs. Baxon:

0-1
1-1
1-2
2-2
3-2
3-3
4-3

So tight.

Also AlphaDash on the mic is legit, aw yeah
yeah, but PP's wins were a 3-stock, a 4-stock, a 3-stock, and a 2-stock. Baxon's were all 1-stocks IIRC (maybe a two-stock in there). Not johning, just saying that it wasn't quite as tight as the match count makes it look. although it def. wasn't a blowout.

/fanboy

Baxon looking mad good though, pretty legit set.

Damn, good **** Baxon!

Here's hoping I'll make it home tomorrow before the tourney's over. Don't wanna miss the entire stream, especially not the late bracket matches! =D

Hope y'all are having a good time!

Acknowledging this - the set was still FAR tighter than anyone would have expected. Like Leffen said on the stream shortly after the set was over, most Europeans expected Baxon to get 3-0'd or 4-0'd. This was a significant improvement over that, and it even went to the final game in a Bo7.

When the set was happening I kept thinking of Mango vs. Taj :p

I'm not particularly surprised. Falco is one of the match-ups PP struggles with.

Started watching Baxon vs PP.
I'm impressed, Europe. Entertaining matches, and hilarious commentary. Catching the stream's gonna be a priority for my weekend.
(Don't get it twisted, PP's still gonna take this tournament and some of those fancy Euros back to America)

our tournament rules reward win rates, not win quality.

www.twitch.tv/smashersreunion is now up. Sadly UCK's capture device doesn't let me access the sounds that the device is catching, so it'll be silent for now. People will be able to commentate later, though. I can access the mic.

Streams that I know of:
www.twitch.tv/fuzzyness
www.twitch.tv/smashersreunion

Will post the singles pool seedings by the end of the day,
and we will have Sweden + Holland VS The World tonight!

The stock counts are also relevant information, however, because if you four-stock a guy a couple of times you're more likely to win the set than if you pull it out at 1 with 140% on you. Common sense.

That said--yeah, it was very close. Much closer than expected. Good **** baxon.

Also--nice interview, A-strife. Very pleasant and informative read, Armada comes off really well.

1. Armada/Ice
2. PP/Leffen
3. Zgetto/Adam
4. Fuzzyness/Jolteon?
5. Paju/Naminami?
5. Baxon/OverTriforce?

Not sure after top three, might have some stuff mixed up. WFs was a close 4-3 set (though it featured a six-stock by Icemada), GFs was less close, either 4-1 or 4-2.

There were some other really hype matches (Pajunami v. I believe Fuzzyness/Jolteon had off-the-walls levels of hype--Paju for stock tank of 2012), but Icemada and what I'm alternately calling Peefen and Leffen Nanney were looking damn near untouchable outside of each other. I do not recall any other team coming very close to beating either of those two.

Don't really know what info anyone would be looking for besides bracket images and pools results and such. Which I have no knowledge of.
