Spear Pillar--Random Dialga or Palkia?

Does anybody know if Dialga, Palkia, and Cresselia are absolutely random on Spear Pillar or do you hit a button or something to make it one of them. I ask this because I almost always get Palkia and I hate it when he messes with the controls. Thanks in forward.

Which one that shows up is random, but the color of the stage when the match starts tells you which one will appear.

If Dialga is going to appear, the stage will be blue. If Palkia is going to appear, the stage will be pink. I forgot what color foretells Cresselia's arrival, though...

yeah, i knew that (not sarcastic, being honest), and Cresselia is also blue.

Once I thought that holding R would be Dialga/Cresselia, and L was Palkia. It worked 10 times then turned completely random.

I always get freaking Cresselia with its Psyco Cutting maddness.

I seem to get Dialga at night and palkia during the day. Although I got the other pokemon in the evening so it might have to do with the time of day.

I thought Cresselia was either colour due to it appearing after Palkia once.
